  • Acoustic Probe

    AA-Ultrasonic - IPEC Ltd.

The AA-Ultrasonic acoustic probe is designed for use on air insulated terminations where a clear sound path between the electrically stressed insulation and the probe is present. The sensor is extremely sensitive and can detect activity below 10pC. The probe has a magnetic base to allow coupling to steel enclosures and a swivel head as so the detecting sensor can be aimed directly at the HV point. Corona in air and surface tracking can seriously damage high voltage insulating surfaces in a way that will ultimately lead to flashover and complete failure of the insulator. This discharge activity creates acoustic emission that can be detected using a high frequency sensor. The magnitude of the acoustic emission is indicative of the degree and severity of the discharge activity.

  • Engine Vibration detector

    VP-201/202/1210/1220 - Ono Sokki

The VP-201/202 and VP-1210/1220 are electro-dynamic vibration detectors designed for gasoline and diesel engine measurement. By mounting them on the cylinder head or an engine etc, they detect rotation vibration at the time of combustion. It is easy to use due to a small, light weight, and magnetic mounting by means of a built-in magnet on the bottom surface. The detector and the cable are reliable with heat-resistant structure so you can use it in an engine room.

An array of advanced functions and options are available to meet the most demanding needs. All sensors on the Ranger HDC MultiSensor units are mounted on a fast and accurate Pan & Tilt unit.

  • DC Gaussmeter

    GM1-HS - Alpha Lab, Inc.

The Model GM1-HS measures the strength and polarity of magnetic fields up to 799.99 gauss. The thin sensor is at the end of a 100 cm flexible cable. The sensor tip is also flexible and can be bent for a variety of situations. The sensor can be held against the surface of a steel part to check for residual magnetism, or it can be bent into an "L" shape to measure inside a DC Solenoid. This meter has a resolution of .01 gauss (1/50 of the Earth's typical field) which is finer resolution than the Model GM1-ST. It is also used to map fields from large magnets (If fields are over 800 gauss, use the Model GM1-ST). The meter has immediate turn-on and updates 4 times a second. There is no setup required, making this the fastest gaussmeter available.

  • PWC Dynamometers

    DYNOmite Dynamometer

Mount the DYNOmite absorber (and appropriate pump adapter) in place of the boat's standard nozzle and cone. Each pump adapter (sold separately) incorporates a shaft, driven by the impeller (without impeller removal). A load control valve (fed from your " garden hose) allows you to regulate RPM by varying absorber drag (while holding the throttle open). You can simulate running at any MPH from idle to top end. The DYNOmite's computer captures the engine's RPM from an (integral absorber mounted) magnetic RPM pickup. Torque readings come directly from a full-bridge (temperature- compensated) torque arm. Results are never estimated from vague hydraulic-pump pressures.

  • Round Wire Coil Inductors

    Pulse Electronics

Round wire coil (RWC) inductors come in six platform sizes and enable the highest efficiency of any SMT inductor through the use of a low loss ferrite core material which minimizes AC losses and also eliminates thermal ageing.   The use of round magnetic wire instead of rectangular flat coils enables a lower cost while still maintaining a low DCR and small footprint.   The platforms have passed the AEC-Q200 stress test qualification proving the designs robustness and suitability to difficult environments but the parts are not IATF certified.  The platform range from 7.6×7.4×6.4mm to 26x26x15mm and are suitable for a wide range of applications and markets including communications, computing and industrial.

  • Cable Identifier

    K&S Engineering and Scientific Ltd

K&S Engineering and Scientific LTD's Cable Identifier Set offers the user a compact, portable solution for cable identification. Depending on the user preference, the Cable Function Generator and Cable Identifier Unit can be jointly housed in a rugged briefcase, or alternatively, for the user requiring a more rugged unit, can be delivered as two individual units each with their own carry-case. With the Cable Identifier Set, power optimum levels are selected by means of a rotary switch and the power levels are displayed on a meter located on the Cable Function Generator. As the Cable Identifier Unit is capable of detecting magnetic fields around mains cables it has the added advantage of the user being able to use this as a stand-alone unit to detect power cable configuration.

  • Magnetizer

    412B - Oersted Technology

The Model 412B magnetizer provides many of the features of the Oersted Technology 300-series magnetizers in a small benchtop cabinet. This unit is designed for magnetizing parts which require lower energy levels due to their size or the magnetic material used. Like the 300-series magnetizers, the 412B is an ECS magnetizer, which allows the user to electronically vary the capacitance of the unit. The capacitor banks are internally discharged through a safety circuit in case of power failure or accidental power-down. When the 412B is connected to a properly equipped fixture, the front-panels can be inhibited through an overtemperature interlock circuit, preventing the magnetizer from being operated once the fixture begins to overheat. An external output is also provided for monitoring the magnetizing current pulse with an oscilliscope.
