Frequency Converter
A frequency converter, also known as a frequency changer, is a device that takes incoming power, normally 50 or 60 Hz and converts it to 400 Hz output power. Different types of power frequency converters exist, specifically, there are both rotary frequency converters and solid state frequency converters. Rotary frequency converters use electrical energy to drive a motor. Solid state frequency converters take incoming alternating current (AC) and converts it to direct current (DC).

RS-232 to RS-422/RS-485 Converter

ADLINK's NuDAM data acquisition modules make up a total acquisition network and control system. Up to 256 NuDAM modules an be romotely controlled on any RS-485 network from a host computer, via a single serial RS-232, allowing communication from as far as 4000 feet from the host. Based on the RS-485 multi-drop network system, each module has a unique address ID, whereby simple ASCII command & response protocols through the standard RS-485 interface can control all the NuDAM modules in the RS-485 network. The NuDAM modules provide direct communications with a wide variety of sensors, perform all signal conditioning, scaling, linearization and conversion, and can acquire measurements of temperature, pressure, flow, voltage, current, and multiple digital signal types.

Binary BCD Converters

The BCD Series of BCD to Binary Converters will convert 4 digits of scaled BCD angle data with a full scale of 359.9degrees into 12 Bits of binary angle data (MSB=180degrees). These units are entirely digital, require no timing or control signals and do this conversion in less than 500 nano-seconds. Logic levels are TTL/DTL compatable and +5V DC power is required. They are packaged in a 2.6 x 3.1 x .82" H PC board mounting module.
