Integrated Potentiostat and Multiplexer

Based upon the EmStat range, there are two types of multiplexers to suit most types of sensor array work. The MUX8 is the most flexible offering the ability to connect arrays made of up to eight working electrodes in two or three electrode cell types and chips sharing a reference electrode and/or counter electrode. The MUX16 is suitable for sensor arrays or chips with sixteen working electrodes all sharing a RE and/or a CE. Both instruments are suitable for laminated layer corrosion analysis.The potentiostat is controlled and powered by USB and is used with PSTrace allowing for simultaneous sampling of each channel at a rate of 25 ms/channel. Standard packaging includes a shielded cable with connections for a working, a counter and a reference electrode by means of 2 mm banana connectors and mini-crocodile clips, a stripped end, Dsub-37 terminated flat cable and a USB cable. To make connections to chips simpler the Connection Terminal is an optional extra providing clearly marked screw terminals to the electrodes and can be directly joined to the ESMUX via their D-Sub connectors.

Composite Inductors
Composite inductors are constructed by inserting a pre-wound coil over pre-press magnetic core and then pressing or molding a magnetic material around this assembly. The composite inductors are very similar to molded but typically offer lower DCR and lower overall losses. Our composite core inductors provide a fully shielded, high energy density, soft saturation solution for applications up to 120Apk. The construction enables the highest energy density of any available SMT inductors and also minimizes acoustic noise. Connections are made via a front panel 96 pin male micro-D connector. For applications requiring improved bandwidth and crosstalk performance please look at our 40-120/125 range of shielded reed relay cards. General purpose reed relays are suitable for the construction of small switching networks, for slaving up to larger switches or for operating external devices (e.g. lamps, solenoids etc.). To simplify inter-relay wiring, interconnection points are built onto the circuit board thus easing the construction of complicated wiring.

The MP CI set up to measure coupling impedance is used to determine EMC characteristics of connectors and cables. The coupling inductivity defines the coupling inductance of external disturbance on the shield or on the ground with the desired signals. If the coupling inductivity is considered in the construction set-up and the pin or wire assignment of connectors or cables, then the connectors or cables will be more interference-resistant. The fan has an ingress protection (IP) rating of 55, virtually eliminating moisture and dust ingress. At full speed the power requirement is 1 W (80 mA at 12 V DC). To conserve power fan speed can be reduced, via pulse width modulation (PWM), to 0.3 W at night or when wind speed is greater than 3 m s-1 without loss of accuracy. If the fan is continuously operated at full speed lifetime is rated at 50,000 hours (5.7 years). The fan includes a tachometer, allowing RPM to be mounted to detect obstruction of the fan.

Positioner HD
The Positioner HD is a two-axis azimuth over elevation positioner, for precise angular positioning with full spherical coverage. Designed for antenna and RF device measurement, the positioner is built out of low-reflection materials, with additional RF shielding for minimal multipath and improved measurement accuracy. A slip ring is included to allow for continuous 360° rotation in both axes. This system is highly configurable, with options for RF rotary joints, slip rings for data communications, and custom sizing.
