Utility Locator
VM-810
Using the correct frequency makes a world of difference when locating buried utilities. The depth of the utility, size, material, and amount of congestion (proximity of other utilities) all need to be taken into consideration for the correct frequency selection. Large diameter, direct buried pipes with bell housing ends that use insulators and rubber gaskets, such as water or gas require a higher frequency while smaller diameter, well-grounded direct buried or long distance in conduits work, better with a lower frequency. The VM-810 operates at 83.1kHz which is ideal for water and gas utilities which generally are larger pipes with bell housings and gaskets. The VM-810’s higher frequency is also good for locating ungrounded small diameter drop wires and inducing signals through the soil, onto services when direct connecting is not an option.

If the customers need the sensitivity adjustment function, plase refer to other models.● The 188FFF is a Fuse and Fault Finder which comprises of two parts : The Receiver and the Transmitter.● The Transmitter, draws a current from the mains supply circuit to which it is connected to. The Signal● Current from the Tx is at about 10kHz. The Transmitter is powered by the mains and requires no batteries.● The 10kHz signal current generated by the Transmitter is then searched(sniffed) by the Receiver to detect the Fuse, Circuit Breaker or the faulty circuit.● The Receiver is a tuned circuit which has it's center frequency tuned to about 10kHz. The instrument is capable of detecting all buried metallic pipes or cables, by direct connect or inductive means.Choice of two sonde models based on depth range and inside diameter of pipe. Either of the two available 512 Hz sondes allow sewer inspection crews to pinpoint blockages or areas needing repair inside a pipe. In combination with an insertion device such as a push or tractor-style camera, clean-out rodder or plumbers snake, the mini sonde or beacon emitting a 512 Hz signal is traced above ground with the XTpc receiver.

The CAT Standard series circuit breaker analyzers & timers are stand-alone or a PC-controlled digital instruments for circuit breakers condition assessments. The timing channels record closing and opening of the arcing, resistor, and auxiliary contacts. CAT Standard series records graphs of both, trip and close coil currents and displacements of the HV and MV circuit breaker moving parts. The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of the pre-insertion resistors (if present in the circuit breaker). Test results can be downloaded to a USB memory stick or saved to internal memory. The CAT Standard series internal memory can store up to 500 test results (numerical and graphical data).
