TP32MTT.03.A -
Delta OHM S.r.L.
Probe for soil temperature at a depth of 50 mm - protective shield from solar radiations.

Campbell Scientific, Inc.
Soil temperature sensors come in a variety of designs using thermistors, thermocouples, thermocouple wires, and averaging thermocouples. The electrical signals transmitted from the sensors to our dataloggers can be converted to different units of measurement, including °C , °F, and °K. Our dataloggers are also capable of measuring most commercially available soil temperature sensors.

Modbus RS485 -
Catnip Electronics
This is a contact-less capacitive soil moisture sensor, a continuation of my I2C soil moisture sensor. This particular version of the sensor is suited for more professional installations where long cable runs is a requirement. It adds a local voltage regulator to mitigate the voltage drop and RS485 transceiver to accommodate long wires, also reverse polarity and an additional ESD protection level is added.

LABROS -
METER group
Conventional particle-size analysis operation takes a lot of time and energy. And because the procedure is manual, it’s prone to errors—which can easily lead to wasted time and effort.

GEO-probe -
ViTec Co. Ltd
The complex is implemented on the basis of a portable computer and the CompactRIO control and measuring system. The software for recording and displaying measured signals and control of measuring equipment is developed on LabVIEW. The second modification of the measuring system includes, developed by our company, a miniature digital measuring module of a strain gage with a built-in ADC and inclinometer and a USB interface for connecting the digital measuring module of the probe to the computer.

Campbell Scientific, Inc.
Campbell Scientific offers soil water potential sensors that measure soil water potential via two methods: heat dissipation or electrical resistance. The sensors determine the energy status of the water in the soil, which describes the force that holds the water in the soil.

SparkFun Electronics
The SparkFun Soil Moisture Sensor is a simple breakout for measuring the moisture in soil and similar materials. The soil moisture sensor is pretty straight forward to use. The two large exposed pads function as probes for the sensor, together acting as a variable resistor. The more water that is in the soil means the better the conductivity between the pads will be and will result in a lower resistance, and a higher SIG out.

NUL-229 -
Neulog
This logger sensor is based on measuring the partial vacuum pressure in a tensiometer. A tensiometer is a closed tube with a special ceramic part in its end. The tensiometer is filled with water and put in the soil. If the soil is dry, water goes out by diffusion through the ceramic holes and partial vacuum pressure is created in the tensiometer. When we wet the soil, the partial vacuum in the tensiometer pulls water into the tensiometer and the vacuum decreases. This is why soil moisture is measured in pressure level.
