CDNEs are based on the CDN as specified in IEC61000-4-6 (Conducted RF Immunity test). In this test, the CDN is used for the coupling of RF onto a cable. In principle, the CDN can be used in reverse, ie coupling any RF on the cable out to an analyser. In an earlier version of EN 55015, these CDNs were specified as suitable for measuring emissions. However, the current version of the standard specifies a CDNE which is essentially a CDN refined to deliver higher accuracy particularly at higher frequencies.

The SIGLENT SNA5000A series of Vector Network Analyzers have a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz, with 2 and 4 port models available. Designed to give you instant insight into scattering, differential, and time-domain measurements. They are effective instrumentation for determining the Q-factor, bandwidth, and insertion loss filters and feature impedance conversion, movement of measurement plane, limit testing, ripple test, fixture simulation, and adapter removal/insertion adjustments. There are five sweep types: Linear-Frequency, Log-Frequency, Power-Sweep, CW-Time, and Segment-Sweep mode. The NA362R is powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor C3558/C3758 (Codename: Denverton). The low power 1U network appliance comes with six 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports and two or four 10 GbE SFP+ fiber ports. It is equipped with one pair latch-type LAN Bypass function for fail-over option as well as featuring BIOS console redirection. Furthermore, it supports the Intel® QuickAssist Technology which accelerates data processing and compresses cryptographic workloads. The network communication appliance also features the Intel® Data Plane Development Kit, which greatly boosts packet processing performance and throughput to improve data plane performance.The NA362R comes with four DDR4 R-DIMM/U-DIMM sockets that can provide system memory of up to 128GB and support both ECC and non-ECC memory types. It comes equipped with two 2.5" SATA3 HDD and one mSATA for sufficient storage. In addition to six 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports (Intel® i210 Ethernet controller), it also has options of two or four 10 GbE SFP+ fiber ports for high bandwidth and long-distance communications. I/O options also include two USB 2.0 ports and a serial console port. To ensure reliable operation, the 10-port network platform supports watchdog timer. Moreover, it also supports mainstream Yocto and Linux.

The Coupling- / Decoupling Networks are used to inject common mode disturbances to Equipment under Test (EuT). Further the CDNs provide sufficient decoupling between Auxiliary Equipment (AE) and disturbance signal. The requirements for CDN and their application are described in the standard IEC 61000-4-6 (Immunity to conducted disturbances, induced by radio-frequency fields). CDNs have a common mode impedance of 150 Ohm and are available for a multitude of cable types and connectors.
