The Model 9000 DME System is a high performance multifunction data collection and analysis system. It is suitable for application in an electrical utility substation or plant environment to produce Sequence of Event (SER), Digital Fault Recorder (DFR), Dynamic Disturbance Recorder (DDR), and Continuous Recorder data in conformance with PRC-002-1 and PRC-018-1. All data recorded by the DME system is stored in IEEE C37.111 format and named in conformance with IEEE C37.232. The system also has a software option to enable the Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) feature to provide streaming data in conformance with IEEE C37.118.

The PISO-C64 has 64-channels of optically isolated digital outputs, arranged into two isolated banks. Each digital output offers a darlington transistor and integral suppression diode for inductive load. Isolated output channels are designed into group C and Group D. The power supply of the input port may use external power or the power from the PC side using DC/DC converter. The power supply of the output port should use external power. This interface board is easily installed in any PC/AT/XT compatible computer. The board interfaces to field logic signals, which eliminates ground-loop problems and isolates the host computer from damaging voltages. The ISO-C64 has one 37-pin D-Sub Connector and one 40-pin male header. Users can connect the digital signal through the second D-Sub connector. Each D-Sub connector contains 32 output channels.

The FMC431 is a dual 1 Gigabit Ethernet FPGA Mezzanine Card with two RJ45 connectors available on the front panel. Compliant with the VITA 57.1 standard the FMC431 offers a High Pin Count connector but is compatible with FPGA carrier cards with Low Pin Count connectors. The Ethernet interface (1000BASE-T) is either implemented using RGMII (Low Pin Count compatible) or SGMII (High Pin Count compatible). The FMC431 also offers the option to stack an additional FMC over it. Any of the 4DSP FMC that use LVDS and single ended signaling only can be mounted over the FMC431, thus offering users with the ability to build a complete data acquisition, waveform generation and communication solution while using a single FMC site on an FPGA carrier card.
