The PCI‑GPIB is a plug‑and‑play IEEE 488 interface for PCs and workstations with PCI expansion slots. The PCI‑GPIB can sustain data transfer rates of more than 1.5 MB/s using the IEEE 488.1 three‑wire interlocked handshake. It also implements the high-speed IEEE 488.1 noninterlocked handshake (HS488) for benchmarked data transfers at more than 7.7 MB/s. The onboard bus master DMA controller means that there are no microprocessor interruptions in data transfer.

Troublesome work of moving arm up and down and wiping the sample from the measurement window now unnecessary. Moreover, when using the specialized software, all it takes to perform a measurement, output a report, export data, or carry out other common tasks is to click buttons on the toolbar.

AOSense has developed a compact Integrated Laser Controller (ILC) that can be paired with our External Cavity Diode Lasers (ECDLs) to control laser current, piezo transducer (PZT), and temperature. The ultra-low noise electronics are fully digitally controlled. The ILC dimensions are only 5″x2.9″x0.95″. We provide software with an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) that can control multiple lasers from a single window. If preferred, commands may be sent over a USB virtual COM port. The software screenshot below (click the image to enlarge) shows the interface including a plot of the temperature (green line) as it settles to a commanded value.
