Columbia's foil strain sensors monitor the fatigue loading experienced by tactical aircraft under various conditions of speed, weight and missions configuration. Critical undercarriage structures and control surfaces may be monitored for fatigue damage induced by high-G maneuvers and high stress landings. These sensors are self-temperatures compensating, environmental resistant, have a high output, two active arms and are easily installed. Developed for the demanding requirements associated with tactical military aircraft, they are equally useful performing many of the more common strain measurements encountered in the material testing laboratory. Columbia's foil strain sensors are considered the standard for the industry.

The Model N300 is a microprocessor-controlled analyzer based on the Beer-Lambert law that is used to determine the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in a sample gas.The N300 uses Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) to overcome the interfering effects of various other gases (such as water vapor) that also absorb Infrared (IR) light. The analyzer passes the IR light beam through a spinning wheel made up of two separate chambers: one containing a high concentration of CO known as the reference, and the other containing a neutral gas known as the measure. The concentration of CO in the sample chamber is computed by taking the ratio of the instantaneous measure and reference values and then compensating the ratio for sample temperature and pressure.

The Doppler Current Profiler Sensor (DCPS) is a medium-range, 600kHz current profiler smart sensor. It offers high-quality ocean current measurements and is ideally suited for cabling directly to various systems or dataloggers via serial or AiCap bus. With its integrated compensation for tilting and movement, the sensor is commonly used to measure current from buoys and other moving platforms.The 5400/5400R version of the current sensor is 300m depth rated, the 5402/5402R version is 4500m depth rated, and the 5403/5403R version is 6000m depth rated and intended for commercial as well as research use. It comes with an integrated temperature sensor that can be calibrated on request.As an extension to the DCPS, we now offer the current profiler with an integrated pressure unit called the 5400P. Spectroscopic Ellipsometer SE series are advanced models built by Angstrom Sun Technologies Inc. Ellipsometry is a technique utilizing polarization state changes after light beam reacts with probing samples. A typical ellipsometer setup includes a light source, polarizing optics (like polarizer, analyzer, phase retarder or called as compensator), sample stage, detecting unit, incident angle change mechanism, computer and software for data acquisition and modeling. Not like reflectometer, ellipsometer parameters (Psi and Del) are always obtained at non normal incident angles. By varying incident angle. many more data sets can be obtained which will be helpful in refining model, reducing uncertainty and improving user's confidence on model's output. Therefore, variable angle ellipsometer is far more powerful than fixed angle ellipsometers. Furthermore, by utilizing broadband light source, spectroscopic data over a wavelength range with many wavelength points can be obtained and thus measurement precision and accuracy for optical properties can be greatly improved. The measurement speed for spectroscopic data has been overcome by implementing an advanced detector array so thousands of data can be acquired simultaneously. With such configuration and capable of collecting more data sets, the complicated layer stacks could be analyzed with powerful functions built within software.

Passive probes are the standard probe provided with most oscilloscopes. Typical passive probes provide a 10:1 attenuation and feature a high input resistance of 10 MΩ. This high input resistance means that passive probes are the ideal tool for low frequency signals since circuit loading at these frequencies is minimized. Passive probes are designed to handle voltages of at least 400V, some as high as 600V. Teledyne LeCroy passive probes feature an attenuation sense pin which tells the oscilloscope to scale the waveforms automatically requiring no user input.Each passive probe is recommended for a certain oscilloscope, using the right passive probe with the right oscilloscope means that the probe will be properly compensated across the entire bandwidth. Using probes with a different oscilloscope will only let you compensate for low frequencies.
