The instrument provides monitoring of discharge parameters (graphically and numerically) in real-time on a 7-inch touch screen display. The instrument also enables measurement and monitoring of cell parameters (voltage/intercell voltage/temperature), which makes it a complete stand-alone discharge test system.The capacity tester is compatible with DV-B Win software. Because of that, the user can view detailed numerical and graphical presentations of key parameters, and create reports in various formats.The capacity test is performed in a user-friendly way according to battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22 and other.The battery tester enables setting the discharge current up to 300 A, with 0,1 A resolution. If higher currents are required, BLU-C units can be connected in parallel, or BXL additional load units can be used.The user can select one of three discharge modes: Constant current, Constant power, Constant resistance. The Model 7 consists of a flexible 6 foot, 50 ohm coaxial cable accurately terminated to 50 ohms in order to avoid undesirable reflections. A special miniature connector receives replacement coaxial probe tips that provide a shielded environment to within 3 mm of the fine tungsten probe point, thus minimizing capacitive coupling to other parts of the circuit. The replaceable coaxial probe tips are offered in various point sizes and can also be bent to any shape in order to accommodate a variety of probing geometries.

There are no limitations on the number of extra load units that can be connected in parallel to the main battery tester.A system of BLU and BXL instruments enables performing the capacity test in an accurate, user-friendly way. Also, all instruments are in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.These units can be used on any type of battery string, such as lead-acid, Li-Ion, Ni-Cd, etc. They test battery strings with voltages in the range of 5,25 – 500 V DC. On the other hand, current up to 250 A can be discharged through the BXL internal structure.The instrument simulates a constant resistance load during the discharge test. Several resistances can be set for different battery nominal voltage levels. This makes BXL extremely flexible in selecting its load capabilities.
