ARINC818 Cards
> ARINC818 is a specification which has become an Industry standard for the transmission of uncompressed digital video. This commercial standard uses Fibre Channel as a point-to-point communication link for low latency with the ARINC818 defining the packetized protocol for transmission of the digital video information. It is highly flexible and can be used for a variety of onboard display systems in both commercial and military applications. AIM’s ARINC818 cards use our field proven Common Core hardware design giving the best performance, best feature set and highest functional integration on the market. The use of SoC (System on Chip) based core designs with one dual core RISC processor per port, massive DDR3 memory and IRIG-B time encoder/decoder functions are standard. The ARINC818 modules are available in PCIe formats.The new ultra high performance intelligent 4-lane PCIe 2.0 interface modules offer 2 ports with full function test, simulation, monitoring and analyzer functions for ARINC818 interfaces. The dual core processor provides onboard processing and data transfer capabilities for the most demanding applications including ARINC818 support done on board level. Large and high data throughput DDR3 RAM is accessible for the onboard processor as is a high performance FPGA implementing the customized ARINC818 Interfaces enabling the board to analyze incoming data in real time. Each module provides 2 ARINC818 compliant ports. SFP cages make it suitable for different media types as optical or electrical network technologies. Each module is delivered with a Board Support Package (BSP) containing the onboard driver software, a full Application Programming Interface (API) and detailed getting started and programming guides. Powerful PBA.pro databus test and analysis software is optionally available for all our ARINC818 cards.

2-in-1 High-Voltage Test Hood

The test cells are made of stable, highly insulating plastic and are closed by a swiveling, transparent cover. The built-in safety switch is used to lock the hood and release the high-voltage sources. This ensures that no high voltage is active when the door is open. There is a generously dimensioned wiring space in the floor of the test cage. An interchangeable adapter plate in the test cell - optionally with an interchangeable interface or an interchangeable adapter cassette - allows quick adaptation to different types of test items. Prepared openings enable connectors and other common interfaces or cable bushings to be easily attached. The hood is opened and closed almost effortlessly thanks to precisely coordinated gas springs.

It is important to recognize this at an early stage in a construction process, for instance at a future construction location or while construction is already underway, so that budgets are not exceeded. By means of field-strength measurements one can chart the existing electromagnetic fields and radiation emitted by GSM, UMTS antennas and transformer spaces, to mention a few examples. These measurements can help determine the best location in the new building for rooms where sensitive measurements are to take place, e.g. in hospitals or nano laboratories. And last but not least, field-strength measurements can detect sources of interference and can be part of a scheduled check of existing screened spaces and Faraday cages.

The 5000EG gyro is based on our air-driven 5000B model, whose proven reliability has made it the industry standard for many years. There are two models available: 14 and 28 VDC. The rotor is precisely machined from a heavy-metal tungsten alloy, which has a higher mass than brass, contributing to the instrument’s demonstrated stability. The electric motor is driven by a built-in power inverter, and has an integrated air-erection mechanism. A warning flag is deployed upon loss of primary power. During acrobatic flights or short stops, the gyro’s mechanism can be caged whenever the knob is pulled.

Magnetic Level Gauge Switches
ABB's magnetic level gauge switches for point level alarm and/or control can mount to a KM26 magnetic level gauge or an LS Series cage level switch.These switches are completely isolated from the process fluid as they are magnetically activated by a magnet equipped float (KM26) or attraction sleeve (LS Series). The unique magnetic coupling action eliminates seals, diaphragms, springs, and torque tubes common to other level switching alternatives since there is no physical contact with the process fluid. The magnetic coupling also eliminates process connections to the switch; therefore, no isolation valves are required to block off the switch for maintenance. The switch "set point" is easily adjustable without changing any process piping and the result is a more reliable and easier way to maintain level system.
