The 40-588-222 is a high density 32x8 2-pole PXI matrix module capable of switching up to 2 A at 220 VDC/250 VAC. The matrix has been optimized for applications that require high signal bandwidth. Pickering's LXI 50Ω RF Matrix - 2.4GHz design permits any single Y input to be connected to any single X input, permitting the concurrent connection of 16 RF paths. All signal paths are bi-directional permitting any connection to be used as an input or an output. These matrices can be supplied in a variety of configurations based on Y axis sizes of 4, 8 and 16 and X axis sizes up to 32. The smaller matrix sizes in the range are factory reconfigurable up to the maximum size.

Matrix Switch Module
ADLINK PXI-7931 is a matrix module with 32 cross-point 2-wire relays (DPDT, 2 Form C). The default configuration of the PXI-7931 itself is a 4-group 2x4 2-wire matrix. With the termination board, TB-6231, users could flexibly choose one of the configurations: one 4x8, two 4x4, one 2x16, two 2x8 and four 2x4. Any contact of the PXI-7931 can connect to other contacts, individually or in combination. The PXI-7931 matrix module simplifies the wiring and makes it easy to change the internal connection path. The contact position of the relays can be changed either by direct software commands or by following the instructions previously stored in the on-board scan list. The scan list advances upon the trigger from external measurement devices, such as a DMM. The scan list could also advance when the scan-delay timer expires. In the PXI-7931, PXI trigger functions are supported and software programmable. Multiple modules can therefore be synchronized without additional field wiring.

The 40/42-780B range is available with one, two, three or four SPDT switches capable of switching frequencies up to 67 GHz in 50 Ω or 2.5 GHz in 75 Ω. Connections are made via front panel mounted high quality RF coaxial connectors, SMA or N-Type for 50 Ω and 1.6/5.6 in 75 Ω versions.
