Decade Capacitor

The GenRad 1423 decade capacitor is a versatile tool for calibration laboratories and production-line testing. With it a bridge can be standardized to an accuracy exceeded only by that of the highest quality, individually certified laboratory standards such as the GR 1404 Reference Standard Capacitors.Used with a limit bridge, such as the GR 1689 Digibridge, the 1423 facilities fast and accurate production-line measurements of arbitrary capacitancevalues with minimum setup time.

Precision Decade Capacitor
Genrad 1413
Six precision decades are employed to provide a range of 0 to 1.11111 F in increments of 1 pF and with an accuracy of 0.05% +0.5pF. Air capacitors are used for the two lower decades and highest grade mechanically stabilized sealed India Ruby mica capacitors are used for the remainder. Air trimmers are used for trimming the two lowest silvered-mica decades. The stability of the 1413 is such that it should not require readjustment with normal service. However, should it become desirable,the four lower decades contain trimmer capacitors that are accessible for this purpose.

High Frequency Standard Capacitor

The GenRad 1403 Standard Air Capacitors are stable, three-terminal standards in decimal values from 0.001 pF to 1000 pF. For measurement at 100 pF and below, a three terminal connection increases the accuracy by eliminating the uncertainty in the measurement introduced by the capacitances between the capacitor terminals and ground.
