This SparkFun Distance Sensor Breakout utilizes the VL53L1X next generation ToF (Time of Flight) sensor module to give you the highly accurate measurements at long ranges for its size. The VL53L1X from STMicroelectronics uses a VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) to emit an Infrared laser to time the reflection to the target. That means that you will be able to measure the distance to an object from 40mm to 4m away with millimeter resolution! To make it even easier to get your readings, all communication is enacted exclusively via I2C, utilizing our handy Qwiic system so no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1”-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard.

Fluid Level Sensor

The output of the fluid level sensor is a voltage which changes in direct proportion to the level of fluid in the probe. The difference in permittivity between air and the fluid being measured changes the capacitance between the probe's two concentric tubes as the level changes. An RS232 connection to a PC allows the user to calibrate the fluid level and thermal drift compensation. The probe is factory replaceable, allowing the electronics to be re-used should the probe become damaged or if a new probe length is required.

The ITS-7025 Temperature Sensor was developed to monitor the temperature of liquid-cooled klystron amplifiers. The sensor is designed to clamp directly to the cooling pipe and provide an analog voltage output from 0 to 10 VDC corresponding to 0 to 100 degC with 2 degC accuracy. Two analog outputs are provided; one for connection to a remote data acquisition system, and a second for local service monitoring. The sensor can be connected to a SmartGuard using the CANbus-based AiCaP protocol. It can also be connected to a PC or third-party systems through the RS-232 interface.MOTUS Wave Height Sensor is for wave height only. As the MOTUS Directional Sensor, it is suitable for integration on different buoy types. In the sensor, the directional wave parameters are locked. It is possible to open the wave direction parameters with a software license from Aanderaa later if the need changes. MOTUS Lite OEM Sensor is the OEM version of the MOTUS Directional Wave sensor.
