Automated System for Identification and Control of Pharmaceutical Codes
The automated system for identifying pharmaceutical codes includes two scanners of the pharmaceutical code, two sensors for the presence of an object and a data processing unit (BOD). When the box or instructions are passed under the object presence sensors, the farm code is read by the corresponding scanner and the results are transmitted to the computer via the Ethernet interface. The BOD verifies the correctness of the read out farm code by comparing this code with the reference farm code set at the beginning of the system operation. If the farm code has not been read or does not match the standard, the packaging machine stops and the type of error is displayed on the indicators.

The Event Detector automatically extracts sound events from an entire sound file according to the user's event specifications. The user digitizes sound data into a continuous sound file, then configures the Event Detector for the events of interest. Detection is based on spectral, temporal, and amplitude criteria. The detector scans the entire file, identifying the desired events and extracting them to individual sound files or measuring their parameters. Detected events can be immediately analyzed in SIGNAL to measure, count, compare, classify, time-stamp, and store sound events and sound parameters. CSZ's rapid decompression test chamber is designed to simulate rapid decompression for testing aircraft avionics. The environmental chamber meets the environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment referenced in the RTCA DO-160 test specification. The DO-160 specification was designed to test sudden pressure changes starting from 8,000 feet to 60,000 feet (536 to 55 Torr) in 15 seconds. An altitude of 8,000 feet (536 Torr) was used for the initial cabin altitude and 60,000 feet was used for the final cabin altitude after decompression. This test specification is used to identify failures of materials inside of the cabin and the reaction to the surrounding environment.

The PPSQ is an instrument for determining the amino acid sequences of proteins and peptides, which combines an Edman reaction section with a high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). There are 2 types: the PPSQ-51A, which is equipped with one reactor, and the PPSQ-53A, which is equipped with three reactors. On the PPSQ-53A, the continuous analysis of the amino acid sequences of multiple samples can be performed one after another. In the Edman reaction section, amino acids are cleaved in order from the N-terminal of a protein by repeatedly performing Edman degradation, and are derivatized. As a result, stable PTH-amino acids are produced. The PTH-amino acids are injected online into the HPLC, and analysis is performed. The HPLC data is saved on the PC, and data processing software is used to process the chromatograms. Then, amino acid sequence estimation software is used to identify the amino acids and estimate the sequences.
