The pocket size model ASG Analog Signal Generator is an ideal tool for troubleshooting transmitters, transducers, motors and actuators. The unit generates a 0 to 10 VDC signal in increments of 1 volt or a 4 to 20 mA signal in increments of 2 mA. An LED bar graph visually indicates analog signal level. The model ASG will also continuously ramp to user defined maximum and minimum values with user defined ramp interval timing. Units are furnished with 6 ft (1.8 m) leads with alligator clips, 120 VAC plug-in adapter, protective carrying case and instruction manual.

The instrument is available with maximum frequencies of either 3 GHz or 6 GHz. Featuring a high signal purity with phase noise measuring <-110dBc/Hz@20kHz (typical) and a wide output range of -130dBm to +13dBm, the DSG3000 RF signal generator has standard pulse modulation with an on/off ratio of up to 80dB, with optional pulse train generator available. The DSG3000 series also has an amplitude accuracy of <0.5dB (typical).

The ADF5356 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. The wideband microwave VCO design permits frequency operation from 6.8 GHz to 13.6 GHz at one radio frequency (RF) output. A series of frequency dividers at another frequency output permits operation from 53.125 MHz to 6800 MHz. The ADF5356 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits that allow the user to generate RF output frequencies as low as 53.125 MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function is both pin- and software-controllable.
