350 MHz DDS Signal Generator

The 425A generates sine, LVDS and LVCMOS outputs simultaneously and is programmable in 10µHz steps from 250kHz to 350MHz and includes an LVCMOS Prescaler and Divider for generating LVCMOS frequencies down to 2 Hz. The 425A is controlled by an RS232 serial interface. Phase can be programmed with 14-bit resolution. The Frequency is accurate to 1.5ppm when using the on board TCXO timebase or you can use an external timebase. It requires 5 VDC power. A Line Voltage AC Adapter is included. SOF8_425 windows software is also included.

The signal generator outputs use direct digital synthesizer (DDS) technology and are confirurable from 100Hz to 171MHz. The 1450B also includes a 1pps input that can be used to discipline and automatically calibrate the 1450B. The 1pps input signal is typically obtained from an external device like a GPS frequency receiver/antenna. The Waveform Generation Tool provides a simplified interface for baseband modulation of Keysight's wide bandwidth signal simulation solutions, for signals with up to 1 GHz RF bandwidth. Even the most complex signals are defined and implemented easily through the software interface. Signals can be defined through basic parameter entry or from files created in MATLAB or other engineering environments. For each selection in the main menu, a subsequent screen appears, enabling the user to enter the parameters required to define the waveform and invoke the built-in calibration routines. A display on each sub-panel shows the ideal frequency domain waveform calculated from entered parameters. A simulation mode is provided to enable development and operation without connection to the instrument hardware.

The ADF4356 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. A series of frequency dividers at another frequency output permits operation from 53.125 MHz to 6800 MHz. The ADF4356 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits that allow the user to generate RF output frequencies as low as 53.125 MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function is both pin- and software-controllable.

The M2p.65xx series offers different versions of arbitrary waveform generators for PCI Express with a maximum output rate of 125 MS/s. These boards allow to generate freely definable waveforms on several channels synchronously. With one of the synchronization options the setup of synchronous multi channel systems is possible as well as the combination of arbitrary waveform generator with digitizers of the M2p product family. The 512 MSample on-board memory can be used as arbitrary waveform storage or as a FIFO buffer continuously stream data via the PCIe interface. Importantly, the high-resolution 16-bit DACs deliver four times the resolution than AWGs using older 14-bit technology.
