The NIU3E is a small, rugged, low-power, self-contained multifunction I/O processing system preconfigured with 24-CH programmable Discrete I/O, 8-CH ARINC 429/575, 4-CH CANBus and 2-CH MIL-STD-1553 functions and incorporates an Ethernet switch module that offers four (4) 10GBase-SR multimode fiber optic ports and sixteen (16) 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports. The NIU3E can also be configured with one smart Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) function module. The NIU3E boasts a Dual or Quad Core ARM A53 processor for customer application and I/O and communications management. The NIU3E is configured with two 10/100/1000Base-T (GbE) Ethernet ports and an RS-232 port for maintenance / diagnostic or configuration interface. The EXC-4000P104plus is a multiprotocol P104plus interface board for embedded applications or avionics test and simulation applications. Each board holds up to five independent modules. Two on-board modules use the MIL-STD-1553 communications protocol (M4K1553Px); another on-board module uses the ARINC-429 communications protocol; two additional detachable modules can be any one of the following types:M4K1553PxS (Single Function - RT validated) This module operates as a Bus Controller, Remote Terminal or a Bus Monitor. This module qualifies for airborne applications.M4K1553Px (Multi Function) This module operates as a Bus Controller, up to 32 Remote Terminals and as a Bus Monitor. This module supports either five or ten ARINC 429 channels each of which can be configured in real time as a receive or transmit channel.M4K708 This module supports two channels of ARINC 708/453, each one selectable as either transmit or receive.M4KSerial This module supports up to 4 independent channels of serial communications, each of which can be selected as RS485, RS422 or RS232.M4KDiscrete This module supports 20 selectable input/open collector output discretes. The EXC-9810/Ax is an Ethernet adapter supporting up to twenty ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmit and/or receive. All of the channels feature error injection and detection.adapter. Its small size and ability to interface through Ethernet interfaces make it a complete solution for developing, testing and performing system simulation of the ARINC-429 bus, both in the lab and in the field.The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected labels with status and time tag information appended to each word, and also allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of data words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention. The EXC-9810 supports up to four independent 8000 family avionics communication modules, allowing multiple different protocols to be mixed and matched on a single card. Modules available include MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, MMSI, ARINC-429, ARINC-708, ARINC-717, Serial, Discrete and CAN bus. In addition, multiple units can operate on the same network, by programming each one with a unique IP address, and can be accessed from any computer on the network.The EXC-9810/Ax adapter is supplied with C drivers, including source code and may be used with Exalt, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application (only versions 8.1 or higher).
