First feature is the Programmable DC Power Supply; It can be adjusted between 0-16V and 20-1500mA with power output; the DC Voltage/Current graphs of the electronic card power supply can be produced. The second feature is the “IR Remote Temperature Measurement Sensor”; this sensor is used to find the components that heat up by drawing too much current. Using these two features together may reduce the time for trouble shooting some malfunctions by 5 to 10 times. These features can be used as a new technique for trouble shooting.

To ensure the safety of operator it is essential that the Earth path (connection) should offer minimum impedance to by pass short circuit Current to Earth. This is ensured by measuring Resistance of the Earth path by passing heavy Current say 25 A. The Earth Contact Resistance Tester essentially comprises of a Variable Current source with digital Ammeter to measure the Current supplied. The Voltage drop across the Earth path is measured with a digital Voltmeter. Optionally for a particular Current (25 A) the meter can be calibrated in terms of Resistance. The 40-195 is a 22 Channel Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions on pairs of signals between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Relays in-line with the signal paths allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a signal pair. Relays between each channel pair enable adjacent signals to be shorted, and relays between signal paths and the "Fault" connection allow the application of external user applied fault conditions.
