Ultrasonic Bolt Meter - Bolting System
Mini-MAX-Series
The MINI-MAX, Ultrasonic Bolt Tension Monitor, defines the state of the art in the measurement of the actual elongation produced by tightening a threaded fastener. The MINI-MAX can measure the elongation very accurately in fasteners of virtually any material from 1/2 inch to 4 feet in length. The measurement is achieved by determining the change in the transit time, of an ultrasonic shock wave along the length of the fastener as the fastener is tightened by any method. The on-board microcomputer automatically interprets this time measurement to display the time(nanoseconds), elongation, load, stress, or %strain from stretching a fastener. Through the use of high speed digital signal processing and automated diagnostics, the MINI-MAX minimizes the requirement for extensive operator training. With built in data recordation and reporting through an RS232 interface, the MNI-MAX offers an easy to use and reliable solution to the most difficult bolting problem.

The BG10 Gun Barrel Bore Gauge System is an electro-mechanical measuring device that was originally introduced into service by the RAF for the high-speed measurement of aircraft cannons, to ensure minimum operational aircraft turnaround time. Measurements are taken at 16 pre-determined positions along each bore, which are then compared to pre-stored warning and rejection criteria. The actual measurements taken are displayed to the Operator on an LCD display and the measurements stored for future reference. The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.Thermocouple gauge tubes are calibrated on vacuum systems that contain N2 or Air, but can be used with other gases. Additionally, thermocouple gauges and their controllers can be recalibrated when a replacement thermocouple gauge tube is installed, following instructions in the manual. However, our DB-20 reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. A complete line of installation accessories are also available to simplify the integration of our thermocouple gauge tubes into a variety of vacuum systems.
