A sector antenna is a type of directional microwave antenna with a sector-shaped radiation pattern. The word "sector" is used in the geometric sense; some portion of the circumference of a circle measured in degrees of arc. 60°, 90° and 120° designs are typical, often with a few degrees 'extra' to ensure overlap and mounted in multiples when wider or full-circle coverage is required (see photos below). The largest use of these antennas is as antennas for cell phone base-station sites. They are also used for other types of mobile communications, for example in Wi-Fi networks. They are used for limited-range distances of around 4 to 5 km.

The UDC-ME allows two DTE devices (such as routers) to communicate within proximity of each other. The UDC-ME transmits data bi-directionally at clock rates of 1.2k up to 3.072Mbps between DTE devices. The unit is equipped with two interface slots that allow a host of serial interface cards to be utilized. The serial interface cards available are RS-232, RS-422/449, RS-530, X.21, V.35 and HSSI. The M2p.59xx series allows recording of up to eight single-ended channels or up to four differential channels both with sampling rates of up to 125 MS/s. These PCI Express cards offer outstanding A/D features both in resolution and speed. The cards can be switched between single-ended inputs with a programmable offset and true differential inputs. If used in differential mode each two inputs are connected together reducing the number of available channels by half. The 16 bit vertical resolution have four times the accuracy compared to 14 bit cards and sixteen times the accuracy if compared with a 12 bit card. All boards of the M2p.59xx series may use the whole installed on-board memory of up to 512 MSamples completely for the currently activated number of channels.
