Elettra has been designed to operate on its own, but it is also possible to connect it to a PC to control it and acquire, view and save data thanks to its extremely easy to use software that runs under MS-Windows™. The data acquisition process can be controlled extremely quickly thanks to the PLAY, PAUSE and STOP keys. Captured data can be saved in an Excel compatible format and graphs saved as bitmap images. By clicking on a button, the software is able to open the Excel program installed on the PC, enter all the data and create countless graphs, ready to be inserted in your documents and publications. At any moment it is possible to take a picture of the graph showing the frequency variation and save it as a bitmap image, to be able to insert it in documents and publications. The same keys that are present on the instrument are found on the software, these allow you to control the instrument remotely. On the frequency variation graph it is possible to zoom in on the regions of interest, it is also possible to display two cursors on the graph, thanks to these cursors it is possible to easily and immediately calculate the value of the frequency variation between any two points on the graph. The software is extremely easy to use and performs many other useful functions, such as automatic recognition of the computer port to which the instrument is connected.
