Pickering PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching cards are available in many high density formats with a choice of 5 different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. Fiber optic multiplexers create a signal path by redirecting the optical signal into a selected output fiber. This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.

Our 60-800-312 is a 12 bank terminated SP6T multiplexer and is part of a range of LXI based microwave multiplexers suitable for switching 50 ohm signals up to 26.5GHz. The 60-800 range is capable of supporting up to 14 banks of 6 channel terminated multiplexers and is ideal for constructing complex microwave switching systems for many applications. Connection is by high performance front panel mounted SMA, SMA-2.9, SMA-2.4 or SMA-1.85 connectors.

The 40-876-104 is a 50 Ohm 4 to 1 RF multiplexer with 4 banks in a single PXI slot. Additionally, extra switching allows the common connection to be terminated into 50 Ohm, maintaining signal integrity. The module has low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost.

The 40-737A-901 (PXI) and 42-737A-901 (PXIe) are 8:1 USB multiplexers for switching USB1 and USB2 data and power connections with USB connectors. The data signal paths are 2-pole arranged as differential pairs as defined by the USB standard. The signal pair has a controlled differential impedance and the multiplexer has been designed for minimum insertion loss.

The Worlds highest density 2-pole single slot 3U PXI Matrix Module, the 40-581has 264 crosspoints configured as a 2-pole 33x8 matrix. The use of high density electromechanical relays means that the 40-581 is a low cost high density matrix solution with current handling up to 1 Amp. The 40-581 module is suitable for matrix applications where two signals are required to be switched simultaneously, for example send and return signals in a telecoms system. It is also suitable for applications where reed relay based matrices do not have sufficient power handling capability.
