BACnet Testing Laboratories

Welcome! BACnet Testing Laboratories was established by BACnet International to support compliance testing and interoperability testing activities and consists of BTL Manager and the BTL-WG. The working group was formed by BACnet International to oversee the establishment of the BACnet® conformance certification and listing program. The working group is comprised of members of BACnet® International and BIG-EU whose goals are to promote and maintain the BACnet® and BTL® trademark.

As of January 2018, the BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL-WG) updated the BTL Testing Policies to state that all BACnet functionality in a product requires testing for BTL Certification of the product.

Device Testing

BACnet Testing Laboratories

The BTL Working Group (BTL-WG) has developed a test package which contains a set of testing procedures. These can be acquired and used by manufacturers to pre-test their products for BACnet compliance before they send their products to an RBTO (Recognized BACnet Testing Organization) for BTL Testing. The BTL Test Package is available on the test documentation page.
