Fiber Optic Pressure Seals
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Fiber Optic Pressure Seals are designed to provide a safe, convenient, reliable method of exiting fiber optic data lines through a structure while preserving the integrity of either a pressure or vacuum environment.

Integrated
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia's Integrated Accelerometers are completely self-contained vibration measuring systems having a built-in amplifier within the housing. Low output impedance allows operation directly into standard readout equipment without auxiliary signal conditioning. This type of accelerometer must be powered by a constant current power supply like Columbia's model 5421.

Miniature Size - AC Operation
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
The M Series of LVDT's designed by Columbia Research Labs are ideal for use on small, high-speed mechanisms and in sensitive low-displacement applications. Linear motions over the ranges of +/-0.003" to +/-0.150" are translated into precisely proportional voltage for measurement and control.

Dynamic High Pressure Sensors
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia's line of Dynamic Pressure Sensors can also serve as Acoustic Sensors (Microphones). They are designed to measure fast pressure variations, surges and dynamic blasts. The Sensors vary from low cost, small size, and lightweight to High Pressure (to 10,000psi) units, with all-welded contructions for extreme ruggedness, making them excellent choices for a wide range of applications.

Linear Accelerometers
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia Research Labs line of Force Balance Linear Accelerometers offers low cost, high performance, general purpose single axis accelerometers that are ideal for DC and low frequency measurements, with both voltage and current signal outputs available. Also offered are Columbia's Solid State Sensors and our specialized Airborne Sensors that generate outputs specifically designed to operate from +24 to +32VDC aircraft power, that is excellent for airborne telemetry applications. And our Low Noise Sensors are designed for use in seismic, low level, low frequency motion studies.

Strain Sensors
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia's foil strain sensors monitor the fatigue loading experienced by tactical aircraft under various conditions of speed, weight and missions configuration. Critical undercarriage structures and control surfaces may be monitored for fatigue damage induced by high-G maneuvers and high stress landings. These sensors are self-temperatures compensating, environmental resistant, have a high output, two active arms and are easily installed. Developed for the demanding requirements associated with tactical military aircraft, they are equally useful performing many of the more common strain measurements encountered in the material testing laboratory. Columbia's foil strain sensors are considered the standard for the industry.

Inclinometer Systems
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia Research Labs offers our standard Inclinometer System and our Differential Inclinometer System. The standard system includes a temperature compensated force balance inclinometer in conjunction with a power module and convenient digital display. It is available with either AC or DC Power supply input. The Differential System allows the customer to match the slope of two remotely located surfaces. The readout can be set to indicate the absolute tilt of either sensor or the differential angle between them.

High Intensity Acoustic Sensors
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia's High Intensity Acoustic Sensors are designed for the measurement of gas-borne sound in industrial applications. They are constructed of type 316 SS for use in corrosive environments. These sensors offer a variety of connector and mounting options, all of them when combined with the all-welded construction provide a true hermetic seal.

High Stroke/Length Ratio - AC Operation
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
The Columbia H Series LVDT's provides an exceptionally high stroke-to-length ratio while maintaining excellent performance. With a linear range of +/- 1.0" to +/- 3.0" the H Series has found extensive application in position sensing and displacement measurement on large valves and remotely operated industrial process controls.

General Purpose
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
This group of accelerometers is made up of the 3000 and 5000 Series. The 3000 Series are standard size units, including many with all welded construction, that are hermetically sealed for use in dirty and humid environments. The 5000 Series are smaller and lighter in weight than standard units. Characteristics are almost identical except that with miniature units higher natural frequencies and shock levels can be obtained due to their inherently reduced mass. Sensitivities, however are somewhat lower. High Temperature models are available that operate to +500°F. For best performance use with the Columbia Model 4601 Charge Amplifier or Model 5810 Inline Charge Converter.

Biaxial Inclinometers
-
Columbia Research Laboratories
Columbia's Biaxial Inclinometers use the same force balance accelerometer technology used in our single axis inclinometers. These Biaxial Inclinometers are used in applications where dual axis tilt measurements are required. The SI-702B series is intended for use in applications such as platform stabilization, surface mapping and measuring tilt angles in remote locations. The SI-701AI series, is designed with an output circuit configuration made for use in 4-20mA data transmission systems.
