Narrow-band UHF/VHF Radios
UHF and VHF radio products are used in narrowband RF (radio-frequency) telemetry systems. These systems consist of a radio modem and low-powered transceiver at the remote station(s), and a transceiver connected to a modem or base station at the computer site. Up to 254 stations can be interrogated over a single UHF or VHF frequency.

Spread-Spectrum Radios
Spread-spectrum radios are very popular for creating wireless communication links to and between data loggers. These low-cost devices provide robust links ranging in speeds from 10 to 200 kbps and distances of 3 to 50 miles, depending on the radio model and operating conditions. These radios consume little power and are easy to install and maintain, as they have been designed for low-power, non-licensed operation.

Evaporation gauges determine the evaporation rate by measuring the changing water level in an evaporation pan. The gauges consist of a float, pulley, and counterweight attached to a potentiometer mounted through a gear assembly in weatherproof housing.
