Impedance Matching Pads
-
These impedance matching pads are resistive networks that can be used to match 2 devices with different nominal impedances. The resistive network used in these impedance matching pads has a 5.7db theoritical insertion loss; true loss is 5.7db plus the normal other losses. common use is to connect 50 ohm sma's to 75 ohm f's. There are also 75 ohm versons of N's, BNC's, & SMA's.

Cable Assemblies
-
We offer a variety of cables covering DC to 110Ghz. Cable assemblies from 0-6Ghz we usually build in our Quick Turn Cable Assembly Shop, delivery is 1-2 days. We also offer some Low Loss Phase Stable from our quick turn shop; but some of the precision cables can take longer.

Terminations & Loads
-
We have more than 40,000 rf & microwave coaxial terminations in stock we can ship today. We offer these Microwave & RF terminations: SMA Terminations, Type N terminations, 7/16 DIN terminations, 2.92mm terminations, 2.4mm terminations, TNC terminations, smp terminations, minismp terminations, 4.1/9.5 minidin terminations. 4.3/10 terminations, ssma terminations, ssmc terminations, and a few Reverse Polarity terminations. Power levels of 0.5-150 watts. RF / Microwave terminations are also known as dummy loads or 50 ohm dummy loads. Our 1.85mm terminations, are rated to 67ghz. We offer 1.0mm terminations good to 110Ghz.

Shorts
-
These coaxial shorts are useful to establish a reference plane, as well as providing certain protections from the environment. SMA shorts and Type N Shorts can establish reference planes. These coaxial shorts are not VNA grade but are often used at lower frequencies for calibration purposes. Included here are the following shorts: 2.4mm, 2.92mm, 2.2-5, BNC, N, SMA, SMB, SMP, SSMA, SSMC, TNC. Note, more options: 1.85mm is compatible with 2.4mm, 3.5mm is compatible with 2.92mm.

Circulators
-
These coaxial circulators operate the same as our isolators except one port is accessable. An external load must be attached to these circulators if one desires them to operate as isolators. Our coaxial circulators are available in frequency bands from 390mhz to 27ghz.

Dust Caps, Opens
-
These coaxial dust caps are used for protective purposes, both from the environment & contaminants. Note: SMA, 2.92, 3.5mm dust caps are the same, as the threads are the same. Likewise, 2.4mm & 1.85mm dust caps are the same, the threads being the same. Some people use opens for calibration purposes at low frequencies, but these opens are not VNA rated, we don't measure fringing capacitance etc.

DC Blocks
-
Coaxial DC Blocks allow the transmission of RF signals while blocking DC signals, usually using a blocking capacitor. We feature SMA DC blocks, 2.92mm DC Blocks, 1.85mm DC Blocks, BNC DC Blocks, TNC DC Blocks, and Type N DC Blocks. DC blocks can block the inner conductor, outer conductor, or both; hence there are "inner" dc blocks, "outer" dc blocks, and "inner/outer" dc blocks. These Coaxial DC Blocks are frequently used in Satellite Systems where a control voltage is passed along with the RF signal, and the coaxial dc block protects equipment. The BNC DC block uses a precision bnc to get to 4ghz. The C0927 SMA DC Block uses dual parallel capacitors to achieve its broad bandwidth, its ideal for EO & NRZ systems.

Waveguides
-
A waveguide attenuator is an RF device specifically designed to reduce the power of a signal without affecting or reducing the waveform of the signal.

Torque Wrenches
-
Recommended torque for various connectors has changed slightly through the years, current standards often being slightly less than before. The recommended torque depends upon whether a connector is stainless steel or brass. The SMA recommended torques have the most variables, with stainless steel sma's for final installation being 8-10 in-lbs, preferably 8; stainless steel sma's in the test lab are best tested at 5 in-lbs to preserve the sma; & brass sma's are 4 in-lbs. Most of these torque wrenches are "ours" however we also carry the Huber Suhner sma torque wrenches, the 74Z-0-0-21 & 74Z-0-0-79 as they're so popular. Our torque wrenches are preset to specific values.
