  • 2-AXIS DEFLECTION UNITS

    Our 2-axis deflection units can be used to deflect a laser beam in X and Y directions. This produces a two-dimensional area allowing a laser to be directed at any position. This area is known as the "marking field" as shown in the diagram. Deflection is performed by two mirrors, each of which is moved by a galvanometer scanner. The deflection unit has a beam input, into which the laser beam is fed, and a beam output, through which a laser beam is emitted from the unit after deflection.

    The range of fiber products available from AMS Technologies comprises fibers and fiber assemblies as well as a variety of fiber-based components. Single fibers and fiber assemblies are available in many different configurations: multimode, singlemode and polarisation maintaining, with or without connectors, standard or tailor-made. The optical spectrum ranges from the UV across the visible range to the NIR, the thermal operation spectrum from -269 to +700C, the power spectrum from a few milliwatts to a multitude of watts. The portfolio of fiber-based components includes wavelength division multiplexers (WDMs), circulators, fiber-optic delivery systems as well as fixed and adjustable attenuators, among others. We also provide an extensive choice of couplers: power combiners, tap couplers, wavelength combiners/splitters, multimode, singlemode and polarisation maintaining couplers. Furthermore, we supply isolators that can be free space and fiber pigtailed, that are useable over a broad range of wavelengths and that can handle powers up to 80 watts.

    Acousto optic devices create an optical grating in a crystal by means of acoustic waves and can thus be used to change direction, frequency and intensity of a laser beam. The products available from AMS Technologies feature very high switching speed and excellent diffractive efficiency and thus maintain laser performance. Fiber-coupled devices are also available.

    The Beam Analyzer Touch is a new powerful and small footprint stand alone unit with a built-in touch screen and measuring head.The patented technology, that allows unique tomographic image reconstruction of 2D/3D images, enables the measurement of beam profiles, including size, shape, position and power. The Beam Analyzer Touch offers a wide spectral range from 190nm to 2700nm and supports beam sizes from 2um to 10mm with 0.1um resolution.

    For many applications up to 9kV, as is the case for pulsed flash lamps, medical applications and pulsed lasers, capacitor charger modules are available for up to 500J with a voltage range of 3 to 9kV. With high power, high reliability and low ripple in mind, these units have been designed for cabinet mounting in small compact systems. For applications requiring small, PCB-mount, low power / high voltage charging of capacitors, AMS can also provide a range of epoxy-potted as well as small metal housing packages.

    Designed for HF and high voltage operation (5 to 30kV), and with a capacitance range of 50 to 1500pF, AMS Technologies' ceramic capacitors cater to all applications from antenna matching units to high voltage testing systems. Our product portfolio includes many different package forms, including the classical disc capacitor as well as the standard hockey puck package style, with the extra sub assemblies of daisy chain and ferris wheels. For high power applications there are also water-cooled ceramic capacitors rated to 4000kVA.
