  • Eddy-Current Dynamometers

    Eddy-Current Brake Dynamometers (WB Series) are ideal for applications requiring high speeds and also when operating in the middle to high power range. Eddy-Current Brakes provide increasing torque as the speed increases, reaching peak torque at rated speed. The dynamometers have low inertia as a result of small rotor diameter. Brake cooling is provided by a water circulation system, which passes inside the stator to dissipate heat generated by the braking power. The water cooling in the WB provides high continuous power ratings (max. 140 kW). The WB dynamometers have accuracy ratings of 0.3% to 0.5% full scale ( 2% for WB 2.7), depending on size and system configuration. Additional options include: high-speed version, speed pickup, mechanical rotor blocking device, OEM version IS and vertical mounting.

    The trend in agriculture: The drives of machines and commercial vehicles must be capable of transmitting increasingly high power within a limited space. Reproducible quality in series manufacture with the shortest possible production times are the key requirements in this industry.The hay makers and harvesters perform their task using straight bevel gears. Because the loads in these machines are comparatively small, a cost-effective manufacturing solution is crucial for the market success of straight bevel gears. It’s a different story as far as tractors are concerned: Spiral bevel gears are installed in the rear axles in this case – and the bevel gear set of a tractor’s rear-axle differential must transmit up to 400 kW. In tractors, cylindrical and planetary gears are also used in manual transmissions and counter shaft transmissions as well as planetary gear drives for transmitting power to the enormous drive wheels. These cylindrical and planetary gears must be efficient, quiet-running, and low-maintenance. With solutions from Klingelnberg, the entire portfolio can be produced on bevel-gear and cylindrical-gear machines.

    Dummy load is capable of dissipating four times the legal limit 6 kW for 2 minutes and legal limit 1500 watts key down, forever. It covers the 160 meter to 6 meter bands (actually 1 Mhz-60 MHz continuously). It is a dry dummy load intended for testing amplifiers and station conditions. Two fans on the rear of the unit are automatically turned on when the internal temperature reaches 120°F/49°C . The unit runs off a universal AC supply. Simple to operate and use, the dummy load includes an RF sample output of -60 dBc.
