  • Real-Time Online Monitoring to Detect and Analyze Potential Partial Discharge (PD) Signals and Insulation Faults using UHF, AE, and HFCT

PDMonitor - Power Monitoring and Diagnostic Technology Ltd.

The PDMonitor, which utilizes Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Acoustic Emission (AE) and High Frequency Current Transformer (HFCT) sensors and is designed to conduct real time online monitoring to detect and analyze potential Partial Discharge (PD) signals and insulation faults before they lead to breakdown or catastrophic failure in power assets. The system provides the developing trend of the PD, when occurring, as alarms in real time, thus helping to predict the insulation degradation status of the asset, prevent sudden accidents, and provide an effective database for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) of power assets.

  • Science Bay Module for Gavia AUV

    Teledyne Marine Gavia ehf.

The Gavia Science Bay Module is a generic payload module that allows a Gavia user to add up to six scientific sensors to the Gavia AUV. The module includes several hull penetrations, including four (4) penetrations that can accommodate WetLabs ECO pucks, two external wet plugs that can provide power and serial communication for external devices, one slot for a SeaBird CTD, one penetration that can accommodate an Aanderaa Optode oxygen sensor, as well as a weak link on the bottom of the module. The weak link provides the option of towing an external sensor and reduces stress on the wet plug.

It is straightforward to simulate optical sensors, metamaterials, optical fibers, bidirectional couplers, plasmonic devices, nonlinear optical processes in photonics, and laser beam propagation.

  • Single Electrode Dielectric/Conductivity Sensor

    Lambient Technologies

Suitable for R&D, QA/QC and manufacturing applications with repetitiveoperations, the 8-mm dia. unsheathed and 0.5-inch dia. sheathed single electrode sensorsare designed for use in presses, molds or harsh environments where a tiny, reusabledielectric sensor is desired. They may be mounted so the electrode is flush with a platenor mold surface, insuring no interference with the flow of material during processing. These sensors are constructed with a stainless steel electrode embedded in a hightemperature polymer insulator. An optional thermocouple may be positioned in thesensor cable just behind the sensor head to allow approximate measurement of processtemperatures.

  • Software

    SSI-TRES - Transducer Techniques, Inc

Was developed to read and edit Plug and Play Smart Sensors that are compliant to the IEEE 1451.4 Standard. TEDS, or transducer Electronic Data Sheet, is a set of electronic data in a standardized format defined within the IEEE 1451.4 standard. This data specifies what type of sensor is present, describes its interface, and gives technical information such as sensitivity, bridge type , excitation, etc. This information is stored in an EEPROM chip attached to the sensor. By having this chip, the sensor can identify and describe itself to the network and or Smart Load Cell Meter (DPM-3), thereby easing automatic system configuration.

  • Software

Electrochemistry Tests - Materials Development Corporation

CyclicVoltammetry and Galvanostatic Charging are tests used throughout the industrial and scientific communities to study chemical reactions and behavior of electronic structures.  They are extremely helpful in the monitoring of nano based dielectrics, used in super /ultra capacitors or self-assembled monolayers (SAMs). The Cyclic Voltammetry test applies a ramping voltage to a device and measures the resulting current.  In acapacitor-like structure the current reveals loss in the dielectric as well as degradation over time.  CyclicVoltammetry is used to characterize the performance of supercapacitors and ultracapacitors formed using various nano-technologies.  It is also useful in the studies of self-assembled monolayers used for sensors.

  • SparkFun Qwiic Mux Breakout - 8 Channel (TCA9548A)

    SparkFun Electronics

Do you have too many sensors with the same I2C address? Put them on the SparkFun Qwiic Mux Breakout to get them all talking on the same bus! The Qwiic Mux Breakout enables communication with multiple I2C devices that have the same address that makes it simple to interface with. The Qwiic Mux also has eight configurable addresses of its own, allowing for up to 64 I2C buses on a connection. To make it even easier to use this multiplexer, all communication is enacted exclusively via I2C, utilizing our handy Qwiic system.

  • SparkFun ToF Range Finder Breakout for VL6180

    12784 - SparkFun Electronics

This is the SparkFun "Time-of-Flight" Range Finder, a breakout for the VL6180 distance sensor. Unlike most distance sensors that rely reflected light intensity or reflected angles to determine range, the VL6180 uses a precise clock to measure the time it takes light to bounce back from a surface. This affords the ToF Range Finder and VL6180 a great benefit over other methods because it can be much more accurate and more immune to noise. Does this technology sound familiar? Well it should, it's the same means cellphones use to detect when the caller is holding their phone to their ear.

  • TEV Antenna

    Techimp HQ S.r.L

TEV sensor is a partial discharge sensor whose working principle is based on a direct Capacitive coupling with a Switchgears earthed metal case. The two ends of TEV sensor can be coupled magnetically to virtually any opening on a metal Surface. It picks up the electric signal given by PD activity onto the two metallic surfaces. Thanks to its special design has high sensitivity, larger than other single ended TEV sensors. His compact and robust design (passive sensor) makes the TEV the optimal sensor for direct installation on medium voltage Switchgears.
