    RapidFET is a product line of RapidIO Network Management, Diagnostic tools and Middleware. They are used by semiconductors for device verification and interoperability testing (See www.rio-lab.com). Board level vendors and OEM''s use RapidFET for hardware bring up, software prototyping, software development, board testing and system integration. Almost all of our customers use RapidFET for supporting their RapidIO customers. Here is a brief overview of the 4 products in the RapidFET family: RapidFET Professional - Professional is the software that forms the foundation of the Network Management tool set. It allows you to perform a variety of operations on your RapidIO network or upload and monitor your RapidIO network passively. This includes things such as Enumeration, Discovery, Initialization of routing tables/registers/etc, Performance monitoring, Error monitoring, Data Generation, Congestion monitoring, Report Generation and much more. Professional consists of a client that runs on a PC, and a server that runs on any RapidIO endpoint including in system processors and FPGAs. RapidFET Probe - is a hardware module that acts as a dedicated server for Professional and contains a DSP and RapidIO Switch that is used to quickly connect to any system - either directly through CX4 cable or via a variety of adapters. It can also be used to inject specific packets for testing including error packets. The Probe is designed to work seamlessly in conjunction with Professional eliminating the need to port a server to an existing system processor endpoint RapidFET JTAG - The JTAG tool comes in both a Standard and Enhanced edition. While Professional is a system based tool, JTAG is a single switch debug tool where discovery beyond the switch is not possible. The standard edition provides basic register access via the JTAG port including EEPROM programming, Scripting and other basic capabilities. The Enhanced edition includes a custom Quad/Lane/SERDES configuration capability, Performance monitors, Automated DFE Scan for optimizing each communication channel, and a Packet Generator - for the new IDT 2.1 switches. RapidFET Middleware - is a library of ANSI C source code intended to be used within an OEM''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s embedded software to perform many of the higher level functions that are performed in our RapidFET Professional software such as discovery, enumeration and initialization. It is designed to leverage our HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) that includes many years of knowledge of how commercial devices interoperate - or not - and fixes to address short falls or unique behaviours. Middleware is designed to work hand in hand with Professional. For example you can configure and optimize a system using Professional and then export the entire system configuration (routing tables, registers, enumeration, etc) and use it directly within Middleware in minutes.
