Telecommunication Networks
Switching systems are the nerve centre of any telecommunications network, providing interconnectivity for the various users of the network. Sri Comm has been very active in this core component, installing over 40 telephone exchanges throughout the country since 1975. Various types of exchanges including electromechanical, ESK and stored programme or computerized exchanges have been installed over the years. Biomagnetic Devices
Electrical measurements of physiological potentials are well established in clinical diagnostics. The flow of an electrical current creates a corresponding magnetic field. Thus bioelectric activity will generate biomagnetic fields. These fields can be detected with Tristan SQUID magnetometers. For many of the classical electrical techniques such as ECG and EEG, there are corresponding magnetic techniques (magnetocardiography or MCG and magnetoencephalography or MEG). In some cases (magnetopneumography, hepatic iron store measurements, intestinal ischemia, peripheral nerve and muscle activity), there is no corresponding electrical technique and biomagnetic measurements offer unique measurement capabilities. Unlike CT or MRI imaging which yield structural information, biomagnetic measurements offer real-time functional imaging.

Thermal Sensitivity Tester
NTE-2A
The NTE-2A Thermal Probe is a sophisticated, non-invasive device for the clinical evaluation of neuropathy and the assessment of short fiber neurological function. Individual thresholds are compared to normals to statistical normals. These results provide an accurate means of tracking chronic changes in small fiber nerve function. It can be used for pain studies and in any application were a variable, accurately-controlled temperature stimulus is required. The NTE-2A is often used in conjunction with the Vibratron II to assess peripheral neuropathies.
