The PD-LT allows online partial discharge detection on cable accessories such as cable head for safety and maintenance purposes.The PD-LT indicates the intensity of the partial discharges, converting the electrical charge units (pC) into decibels (dB). Thus the reading is kept as a simple intensity level indication, proportional to the probability of a fault's presence in the tested medium voltage accessory.The remote display gives a dB value of the probe's measurement. The dB value will vary along with the discharges indicators on the PD-LT probe. The measurement range is from 0 to 65dB and the display will show ''OL'' if the reading is over 65dB.

VI Systems GmbH introduces the fiber coupled 850nm vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) transmitter module VM64-850M for data rates of up to 80 Gbit/s. The transmitter module features a V-connector for the electrical input signal and for the optical output a 50/125 multi mode fiber which is terminated with a standard FC/PC connector. The Franklin tester FT‐1 is designed to measure the surface insulation resistivity of electrical steel sheet according to the ASTM Standard A717 and IS:649. This test method is suitable for quality control in the application of insulation coating. For ease of testing FT‐1 automatically set 300 PSI pressure on the sample by the inbuilt hydraulic unit and it is capable to set the desired test temperature of the platform. Then the regulated supply of 0.5V gets on and the current flowing through the insulation get measured. The calculated insulation resistivity will be displayed on graphics LCD display and as well as on printed report via thermal printer.
