  • ICP-OES Analyzer

SPECTRO ARCOS - SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH

The SPECTRO ARCOS ICP-OES excels in industrial and academic applications for the most advanced elemental analysis of metals, chemicals, petrochemicals, and other materials. Its unique new MultiView plasma interface option provides truly uncompromising axial-view and radial-view plasma observation in a single instrument. The periscope-free MultiView mechanism lets an operator literally "turn" a radial-view instrument into an axial-view device, or vice-versa, in 90 seconds or less. Visit the MultiView Q&A section in the ARCOS Resource Center for answers to frequently asked questions. Plasma power enters a whole new era with the system's innovative generator. This unique, compact and extremely rugged component is based on laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) technology. It delivers the highest plasma power available today, enabling previously impossible feats of analysis at the highest plasma loads.

  • Metals Analyser

    Vulcan - Oxford Instruments plc

Vulcan is the fastest metals analyser available, taking just one second to measure metal alloys - that’s faster than any XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analyser or any other laser product on the market. In quality control and quality assurance this means that large inventories of incoming raw materials or finished parts can be checked very quickly. Large quantities of scrap metal can be sorted in scrapyards easily and fast. Vulcan offers high performance and guarantees very high accuracy and precision for its analysis results. For example, when analysing aluminium, it not only provides the commercial grade of aluminium but also its accurate chemical composition. As Vulcan is so simple to operate, possible user error has been significantly reduced if not almost completely eliminated, so the results obtained from analysis will be reliable and consistent.

  • Protein Sequencer

    PPSQ-51A/53A - Shimadzu Corp.

The PPSQ is an instrument for determining the amino acid sequences of proteins and peptides, which combines an Edman reaction section with a high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). There are 2 types: the PPSQ-51A, which is equipped with one reactor, and the PPSQ-53A, which is equipped with three reactors. On the PPSQ-53A, the continuous analysis of the amino acid sequences of multiple samples can be performed one after another. In the Edman reaction section, amino acids are cleaved in order from the N-terminal of a protein by repeatedly performing Edman degradation, and are derivatized. As a result, stable PTH-amino acids are produced. The PTH-amino acids are injected online into the HPLC, and analysis is performed. The HPLC data is saved on the PC, and data processing software is used to process the chromatograms. Then, amino acid sequence estimation software is used to identify the amino acids and estimate the sequences.

With ArDB, we provide powerful new stable isotope data analytics tools.

  • Industrial QC/QA Analyzer - "Column Free" Molecular Fingerprinting Technology

    Aqualog - A-TEEM - HORIBA, Ltd.

A-TEEM™ Molecular Fingerprinting is a new optical technique that is ideal for comprehensive component analysis in a variety QC/QA applications, from water to wine to pharmaceuticals and more. It is a simple, fast, “column free” spectroscopic technique that simultaneously measures the absorbance, transmission and fluorescence of samples in solution, and offers unique benefits over traditional analytical techniques, such as chromatography, mass spec, IR, etc.. Fundamentally, this technique is best applied to samples in solution that have fluorescing components, like an aromatic molecule, although it also detects non-fluorescing species via absorbance. The fluorescence EEM fingerprint technique has also been applied to solids and skin. Fluorescence is a highly sensitive technique compared to other spectroscopic techniques such as absorbance, FTIR and Raman, and the three-dimensional nature of the data provides for a better foundation for complex component analysis.
