The signal converters are available as pure signal/isolating converters, 2-way/3-way isolators, supply isolators, passive isolators with input loop and output loop supplies or as limit switches. They are electrically and mechanically designed so that they require a minimum of wiring effort.

A KiDAU Classic System has 32 analog and 16 digital inputs. The application of different connectors as well as pin assignments for the 32 analog inputs will be mapped by means of different SD-panels. Each analog channel comprises a programmable input amplifier, bridge excitation circuit, low pass filter and 16 Bits A/D converter. The amplifier precision is better than 0,1 % and the input impedance above 10 MΩ. The gain values can be programmed from 0,5 ... 10 000. An internal reference voltage is used for precise control of the amplifier setting, which is achieved via software loop.

The AD8452 combines a precision analog front-end controller and switch mode power supply (SMPS), pulse-width modulator (PWM) driver into a single silicon platform for high volume battery testing and formation manufacturing. A precision instrumentation amplifier (in-amp) measures the battery charge/discharge current to better than ±0.1% accuracy, while an equally accurate difference amplifier measures the battery voltage. Internal laser trimmed resistor networks establish the in-amp and difference amplifier gains (66 V/V and 0.4 V/V, respectively), and stabilize the AD8452 performance across the rated operating temperature range.
