  • Cloud Height Instruments

Bristol Industrial & Research Associates Ltd

Ceilometers are stand-alone instruments designed to measure cloud and aerosol height profiles using a laser based LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technique. The light emitting component is a low power diode laser with the output power limited to an eye-safe level. They determine cloud base heights, penetration depths, mixing layer height and vertical visibilities. Within their operating range they reliably detect multiple cloud layers and cirrus clouds.

  • ACTRIS-Ready LIDAR System

    Raymetrics S.A.

Anchored in Athens but with global reach and ambition, Raymetrics is a company founded by scientists and engineers to develop state-of-the-art LIDAR systems appropriate for scientists and non-experts alike. Developed through a long-term collaboration with the EARLINET community, Raymetrics LIDARs perform state-of-the-art measurements robustly and in a fully automatic way Raymetrics LIDARs are guaranteed to follow all ACTRIS Quality Assurance protocols, will fill the requirements for ACTRIS National Facility for Aerosol Remote Sensing, and minimize the operation and maintenance costs

  • Filter Testers

    MSP Corporation

All filter test equipment from TSI, used for testing efficiencies of filter media and a variety of air filters, including high and very high-efficiency filters, respiratory filters, cartridges, and protective garments, is known for its simple and reliable operation. All of our filter testers can determine the efficiency of filters using submicron poly- and monodisperse oil and/or sodium chloride aerosol. Additionally, TSI's filter test solutions are used to comply with various testing standards and regulations around the globe.

  • Bio-Threat Detection & Collection

    IBAC 2 - Teledyne FLIR

The IBAC 2 is a fully automated bio-detection sensor that can support continual, 24/7, air monitoring or can be set to targeting sampling windows to align to hours of operation. It alarms in less than 60 seconds when a bio-threat is present. IBAC can be configured to support automated aerosol sampling either in conjunction with its’ triggered alarms or at a set frequency sampling time. In wide service throughout the world, IBAC 2 is used to collect and detect aerosolized agents for all four classes of biological threats (spore, viral, cellular, and protein toxins) with low false alarm.

  • Thermal-Optical Analysis

    Elemental Analysis, Inc.

As with other current organic carbon and elemental carbon (OC/EC) procedures, Thermal-Optical analysis is method-defined. However, this unit has been designed to specifically address some of the problems observed in other methods in assigning carbon to either the organic or the elemental fraction. By careful system control and continuous monitoring of the optical absorbance of the sample during analysis, this method is able to both prevent any undesired oxidation of original elemental carbon and make corrections for the inevitable generation of carbon char produced by the pyrolitic conversion of organics into elemental carbon. The OC/EC instrument utilized by EAC is used to analyze both bulk samples, and aerosol particles collected on quartz-fiber filters.

  • Piezobalance Dust Monitor

3520 Series - KANOMAX USA, Inc.

The Kanomax Piezobalance Dust Monitor 3521/3522 is a unique respirable aerosol monitor, providing direct mass concentration of particulates using PIEZOBALANCE technology; ideal especially for oil mist monitoring. The Kanomax 3521 is equipped with 4 and 10µm impactors while the 3522 is equipped with a 2.5µm impactor. Unlike conventional dust meters, which count particles, a piezobalance dust meter like the 3521 or 3522 “weighs” mass concentration of particulates. As an air sample enters the system, it travels through the impactor, which captures and removes larger particulates away from the sample. Smaller particulates become electrically charged and deposited on the piezo-crystal. The total mass of the deposited particulates affects the piezo-crystal’s frequency. Since the change in frequency is proportional to the mass of the particulates, the actual weight of the particulates is obtained.

  • Smoke Detector Tester

    Solo 365 - Detectortesters

The fire industry’s most popular range of detector test equipment is about to get even better. Solo, the test equipment used world-wide to functionally test fire detectors has a new tester in its range – Solo 365. This exciting innovation provides fire safety professionals with an array of stand-out features which make for faster, simpler and cleaner functional testing of smoke detectors. Key features include automatic generation of smoke which ensures only the amount of smoke needed to activate the detector is produced – minimizing smoke wastage and eliminating the risk of detector contamination. In addition, Solo 365 is light in weight and has a slim-line design which allows easy access into tight spaces – making it possible to test detectors which are hard to access with other portable testers. In response to market feedback, Solo 365 features an LED torch which automatically illuminates when light levels drop, making for easy detector alignment and testing in dark environments. Smoke is generated via newly designed smoke cartridges which fit neatly into the rear of the tester. With no reliance on pressurised aerosol cans, the cartridges can be easily shipped and stored and are unaffected by new regulations, set for 2018, which will affect availability of some pressurised smoke aerosols.

  • Particle Analyzers

    MRC ltd.

Particle analyzers determine the size and distribution of particles in a material.Particle size analyzers work in many areas of research and development, product testing, manufacturing and quality control. Particle size analysis is important in characterizing a wide range of product performance factors. There are several many analytical techniques and approaches for particle size analysis. It depends on the range, the nature of the sample, the method of analysis and the sampling output.Particle size analysis is a very important test and is used for quality control in many different industries like Food and beverages,Pharmaceuticals,Aerosols and more. The tests should be adjusted according to the different materials.
