Automotive Ethernet (AE) represents the latest challenge to the status quo in automotive networking. Many OEMs are now moving forward with this exciting new technology, which promises high performance at low cost, especially for infotainment applications. Capturing Automotive Ethernet Frames. Automotive Ethernet traffic cannot be monitored using the same techniques employed for buses like CAN. Ethernet networks use star topology, so there is no single point to monitor an entire network. The sophisticated technology employed also means bit values cannot be interpreted directly from voltage levels. Finally, Ethernet hardware silently discards erroneous frames, making diagnosing problem conditions difficult. Intrepid’s tools are designed to address all of these issues conveniently and efficiently.

Passive probes are the standard probe provided with most oscilloscopes. Typical passive probes provide a 10:1 attenuation and feature a high input resistance of 10 MΩ. This high input resistance means that passive probes are the ideal tool for low frequency signals since circuit loading at these frequencies is minimized. Passive probes are designed to handle voltages of at least 400V, some as high as 600V. Teledyne LeCroy passive probes feature an attenuation sense pin which tells the oscilloscope to scale the waveforms automatically requiring no user input.Each passive probe is recommended for a certain oscilloscope, using the right passive probe with the right oscilloscope means that the probe will be properly compensated across the entire bandwidth. Using probes with a different oscilloscope will only let you compensate for low frequencies.

Plus Radio Ethernet Receiver

The Plus Radio Ethernet receiver is required as part of the Tinytag Radio Data Logging System. It controls the transmission of data to and from the radio loggers: data received from the loggers is then sent to the computer for viewing with Tinytag Explorer radio software. If power to the computer running the system is lost, the receiver has a battery back-up which will maintain the mesh network until power is restored. This receiver plugs directly into a LAN removing the need for a computer in the area where monitoring is to take place. The receiver is powered using a plug-in Power over Ethernet adaptor (ACS-0041) which is supplied with the unit.

Ethernet To Parallel Digital Interface Boards
ICS's Ethernet Parallel Digital Interface boards provide the user with a wide range of IO signals that can be user configured to match virtually any application. These Ethernet boards are available with high power relay driver boards and with optional firmware designed to simplify switching applications. The 80x3 boards have high-power TTL signals that can sink 48 mA and source 24 mA. Pullup resistors make it easy to interface with CMOS logic and to sense contact closures. User configures data byte direction and polarity. The 80x3 boards are VXI-11 compliant for operation with NI or Agilent VISA, LabVIEW and VEE and support raw socket connections. The new 8113 board is a CMOS close of the 8013 board with user set 3.3 or 5 V logic levels. Pinouts and command set is the same as the 8013 board. The 8113 communicates with TCP/IP(Raw Socket) protocoland and also has a RS-232 Serrial Port. All boards are designed for mounting against the rear panel or inside a chassis and use our Ethernet Wiring Kit for easy connection to a Ethernet Connector on the rear panel.
