Ballistic Pressure Sensors
PCB® has supplied high frequency, durable, quartz ballistics pressure sensors in both charge and ICP® voltage mode versions for over forty years. Keeping with our tradition, PCB continues to offer a complete line of sensors for conformal and case mouth ballistic measurements. All PCB sensors are provided with NIST traceable calibration. For pre-calibration stabilization purposes, all ballistic pressure sensors are hydraulically cycled at high pressures and most are test fired in the PCB ballistic firing range.

Gunshot Detection & Localization System
Information System Technologies Inc.
ISTI’s acoustic transient (e.g. gunshot or any other) event detection and localization technologies exploit low-cost distributed sensors with local processing capabilities. Key benefits include: better capture of muzzle blast and ballistic shockwave in urban environments, lower false alarm, real-time response, robustness to loss of sensor nodes, low hardware complexity, flexibility to configure a dynamic local network and ease in deployment. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows for control over the sensors and network while providing an overall assessment picture. Unlike existing gunshot detection and gunshot localization systems, the distributed sensing solutions (algorithms and hardware/software) developed by ISTI can support different sensors including acoustic, seismic and IR.

sbRIO-9223, Non-Enclosed, ±10 V, 1 MS/s, 16-Bit, Simultaneous Input, 4-Channel C Series Voltage Input Module
785480-01
Non-Enclosed, ±10 V, 1 MS/s, 16-Bit, Simultaneous Input, 4-Channel C Series Voltage Input Module - The sbRIO-9223 performs differential analog input. This module is well suited for applications such as ballistics, impact, and blast wave testing. The sbRIO-92233 can sample at the maximum sample rate per channel while the module next to it samples at a much slower rate, which is ideal for mixed-measurement test systems. There are two connector options for the sbRIO-9223: a 10‑position screw terminal or a 25‑pin D‑SUB connector.

Dual-Mode Charge Amplifiers
Dual-mode charge amplifiers represent a versatile solution for both piezoelectric charge mode and ICP® sensors. Among the advanced features offered by models 443B01, 443B02 and 2775C are an ultra-low noise floor, sensor fault detection, overload detection, a built-in calibration reference signal, and an RS-232 port for seamless computer control. Notably, model 443B02 features a long discharge time constant selection, ideal for capturing quasi-static events lasting several seconds, a capability particularly beneficial for ballistics and ammunition testing applications. Model 2775C features AC, DC, and servo outputs.
