Magnetometers
-
The strength of magnetic fields can be determined with a magnetometer. Regardless of whether in the private sector or in the work environment, the increasing use of technology and networking also increases the exposure to magnetic and electromagnetic radiation. This radiation can have a negative effect on living beings, but also on sensitive electronic devices. Many effects are so unspecific that radiation is often not recognized as the cause. With a magnetometer you can measure how strong the radiation is at your sleeping place, in the kitchen in front of the microwave or induction stove or at your workplace. The location of sensitive electronic devices such as a precision balance can be examined with the magnetometer. The extent to which the radiation intensity increases or decreases with distance can be determined by positioning the magnetometer at various distances from the radiation source.

Angular Orientation Sensor
WOS-120
-
The Miniature Angular Orientation Sensor system Model WOS-120 contains both a 3-axis fluxgate magnetometer and a 3-axis accelerometer. These sensors are sampled by an internal A to D converter and microprocessor subsystem which outputs 16 bit digital data representing the magnetometer and accelerometer readings. The system can also be configured to transmit the roll, pitch and azimuth orientation angles of the Model WOS-120 system. These angles are calculated before transmission from the accelerometer and magnetometer sensor output data.

Three-axis Fluxgate Magnetometer
TFM1186
-
The Three-axis Fluxgate Magnetometer TFM1186 is a member of Metrolab's THM1176 family of 3-axis handheld magnetometers. It is a lightweight, low-power, go-anywhere fluxgate magnetometer. Outstanding noise characteristics make fluxgate magnetometers the instrument of choice for measuring minute disturbances in the local magnetic field, for example due to an iron mass or AC power-line noise. The TFM1186 has a range of ±100 µT and a resolution of 4 nT. The TFM1186 simultaneously measures all three axes of the magnetic field, so you get a true field strength reading no matter how you hold the probe. The entire instrument has been reduced to a cable with a few fat spots, which can plug directly into your PC or into a battery-powered handheld computer. 3-axis Teslameter Gaussmeter

Magnetic Field and Permeability Measurement
MAGNETOSCOP® 1.070
-
Foerster Instruments, Incorporated
The MAGNETOSCOP 1.070 is a portable magnetometer system with microprocessor and probes for measuring the magnetic flux density as an absolute or differential value (gradient). It has a USB port for simple data transfer and an SD card for saving measurement data and parameters. The measuring system also facilitates the recognition and saving of peak values and the adjustment of thresholds for limit values. The unit can be used for series and individual measurements. The data can be easily analyzed and documented with the PC software included in the scope of delivery. The MAGNETOSCOP 1.070 thus facilitates the portable and fast measurement of the relative permeability within the scope of the quality control of stainless steel and low-permeable (non-magnetic) alloys as well as the localization of ferrite enclosures. Changes in material (sulfidation, degradation of lamination, structural changes) can also be proven thanks to permeability comparative measurements.
