Positive Displacement (PD) Meters
-
Positive Displacement (PD) flow meters are volumetric flow measurement instruments ideal for low flow rates, highly viscous fluids, and measurement of flows involving starts and stops or pulsing. Positive displacement flow meters are similar in design to the gear pump. The principle of operation is reversed however; instead of the gears driving the fluid, the fluid drives the gears. A non-intrusive hall-effect sensor detects the movement of the gear and as each gear tooth passes the sensor, a square wave pulse is produced and a discrete volume of liquid is measured. The resulting pulse train is proportional to the actual flow rate and provides a highly accurate representation of the fluid flow.

Oval Gear Flowmeters
-
Titan’s oval gear (OG) range of flow meters operate on the basic positive displacement technique in that they take a discrete volume of liquid and pass it from the inlet to the outlet without loss or slippage. By nature these devices perform better at higher viscosities as the increasing fluid thickness reduces the leakage rate even further and extends the useful operating range to lower flow rates. The oval gear design allows these flowmeters to operate with a very low differential pressure, only millimetres of head in some cases.

Wavelength Tracker
10717A
-
The Keysight 10717A Wavelength Tracker tracks changes in the air's index of refraction to optically compensate for environmental changes. It uses one axis of a laser measurement system to report wavelength of light changes, not changes in position. It is used to correct displacement values reported by other measurement axes in the system, hence improving measurement accuracy. It provides a higher degree of accuracy than environmental sensors such as the 10751C and 10751D Air Sensors.

DC to LVDT and DC to RVDT Converters
-
Computer Conversions Corporation
The SLVT Series are complete, low profile, continuously updating, single channel, Isolated Digital to LVDT Converters used to simulate the output of LVDT's (Linear velocity displacement transducers), RVDT's (Rotary...) and other phase/voltage sensitive AC devices. They provide a very precise linear AC voltage output proportionate to the magnitude of the input data, in or out of phase respective of the AC reference input as determined by the MSB of the input word (offset binary format).

High-Speed Digital Image Correlation System
Q-450
-
The 3D High-Speed Image Correlation System Q-450 allows the full-field, non-contact and three-dimensional dynamic measurement of shape, displacements and strains on components and structures made from almost any material. Based on the digital image correlation technique, the Q-450 system is designed for full-field vibration analysis and high speed transient events. This makes it ideal for ballistics testing, fracture mechanics, shock excitations, the Hopkinson Bar test, or Impact Testing.

Digital LVDT sensor ZET 7111-L
-
ZET 7111-L is a digital LVDT displacement sensor. It requires no special adjustment and starts measuring right after power is on. Displacement measured values are transferred in digital form via CAN interface. The LVDT digital sensor consists of a primary transducer (LVDT sensor) and a measuring element (ZET 7111-L unit). The LVDT sensor converts meaured object (to which it is mechanically connected) linear displacement into electric signal to be further transferred into displacement values by the measurement module.

Surface Roughness Meters
-
This instrument is compatible with four standards of site to measure surface roughness of various machinery-processed parts, calculate corresponding and clearly display all measurement parameters. When measuring the roughness of a surface, the sensor is placed on the surface and then uniformly slides along the surface by driving the mechanism by the sharp built-in probe. This roughness causes displacement of the probe which results in change of inductive amount of induction coils so as to generate analogue signal, which is in proportion to the surface roughness at output end of phase-sensitive rectifier.

Extensometers for Indirect Tensile Testing of Asphalt
Model 3911
-
Jinan Testing Equipment IE Corporation
For indirect tensile testing, such as for resilient modulus, these extensometers measure the lateral deformation of specimens. They are self-supporting on the sample and clip on in seconds. The traditional way this deformation has been measured was prone to errors caused by slight rocking of the sample as it is loaded. The self-supporting design of the Model 3911 eliminates this problem. This unit will handle the dynamic pulse requirements of resilient modulus testing. The speed of mounting makes test set-up much faster than with the older method. The pivot mounting used ensures that the specimen contact pads meet the often uneven asphalt surface as well as possible. The measuring range options available allow a wide range of testing, yet can easily measure the sometimes very small displacements required. The Model 3911 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.

Eddy Current Dynamometer
EC Series
-
Specifically designed for small displacement diesel engines, the Eddy Current (EC-Series) engine dynamometer features in-line eddy current absorption units in a robust, compact frame. The air-cooled eddy current absorbers eliminate the need for an expensive water recirculation system and most engines being tested can be cooled with a standard closed-circuit radiator system. This compact air-cooled design results in a minimal environmental impact and the ability to be easily relocated with no need for a permanent installation. When combined with PowerNet LT, our fully automated dynamometer control system, all of your testing needs can be performed at the touch of a button.

A linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is a type of electrical transformer/transducer used for measuring linear displacement (position). A counterpart to this device used for measuring rotary displacement is called a rotary variable differential transformer (RVDT). The RVDT is like an LVDT in that it measures a positional displacement, however, the displacement, which is still a linear proportional function, is based on rotary instead of linear positional movement.
