The 7803e low-profile PCI Express serial interface provides eight RS-232 serial ports. For maximum compatibility with a wide range of peripherals, the board supports all standard RS-232 modem control signals. The serial ports utilize 16C954 UARTs with 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs that enables data rates to 921.6K bps for reliable high-speed communications in data-intensive applications. This high-performance UART includes 9-bit framing support and is fully software compatible with legacy 16550 applications. In addition, the board derives a 62.5 MHz clock from the PCI Express link. This ultra-high speed clock is divided by a flexible 8-bit clock prescalar with 1/8 steps to provide support for the widest range of standard and non-standard baud rates.

The XRP6124 is a non synchronous step down (buck) controller for up to 5A point of loads. A wide 3V to 30V input voltage range allows for single supply operations from industry standard 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 24V power rails. With a proprietary Constant On-Time (COT) control scheme, the XRP6124 provides extremely fast line and load transient response while the operating frequency remains nearly constant. It requires no loop compensation hence simplifying circuit implementation and reducing overall component count. The XRP6124 also implements an emulated ESR circuitry allowing usage of ceramic output capacitors and insuring stable operations without the use of extra external components.

Mount the DYNOmite absorber (and appropriate pump adapter) in place of the boat's standard nozzle and cone. Each pump adapter (sold separately) incorporates a shaft, driven by the impeller (without impeller removal). A load control valve (fed from your " garden hose) allows you to regulate RPM by varying absorber drag (while holding the throttle open). You can simulate running at any MPH from idle to top end. The DYNOmite's computer captures the engine's RPM from an (integral absorber mounted) magnetic RPM pickup. Torque readings come directly from a full-bridge (temperature- compensated) torque arm. Results are never estimated from vague hydraulic-pump pressures.

As is an inherent in the physics of a downwind configuration, the stronger the wind, the larger the clearance between the blades and the tower by blade flexion. This results in a lower probability of a tower hit. In case of stand still mode, downwind turbine switches to a free yaw operation mode and wards off the cross wind by the weather vane principle without yaw control even in case of black out conditions. This, in principle, reduces overturning moment to the foundation or floaters and maintains high degree of safety. That is important especially for offshore projects. Also, the wind sensors installed at the front of the blades give a more precise wind direction and speed in the upper stream. Yaw and blade pitch shall also be modulated to the right angle for more production.

The new version of the UBW32 now uses the PIC32MX795 IC. Based on the work of Brian Schmalz, the UBW32 is a small development board for the new PIC32MX795 32-bit CPU from Microchip. The UBW32 is breadboard friendly and includes all of the external circuitry needed to get the PIC32 up and running. Power can be provided over USB or from an external source. It has three push buttons (Reset, and two user-defined buttons) and five LEDs (Power, USB, and three user defined LEDs). All of the 78(!) of the PIC32's I/O pins are broken out. The board comes pre-loaded with a USB bootloader and special UBW firmware that accepts simple serial commands to control the various I/O functions.
