This industry standard 2U rack-mount instrument has a long heritage and ongoing production life for this latest 2009 version that features RS232 monitoring and control of the DPLL, locking the Ultra Low Noise OCXO to the Rubidium. Damping and Bandwidth is controlled by integrator digital gain, proportional digital gain, pre-filter order and subsample rate. Eight values of user selected bandwidth are available.

WA series low noise amplifiers are the balance type LNA with alarm capability in some of the products. Besides offering very low noise figure and wide bandwidth, the LNA have high linearity with unconditional stable design. The noise figures are from 0.40 dB to 1.0 dB and IP3 from 30 dBm to 40 dBm.The amplifiers cover the frequency bands of VHF, UHF, Cellular, GSM, DCS, PCS, 3G, C, and wireless LAN. The built-in alarm capabilities include Branch 1 and Branch 2 alarms, Soft Failure alarm, Hard Failure alarm, Soft alarm Open-Collector, and Hard alarm Open-Collector.

Ultra Low Noise Preamp

The J2180A low noise preamplifier provides a fixed, AC coupled 20dB gain while converting a 1 MOhm input impedance to a 50 Ohm output impedance. With a 3dB bandwidth of 0.1Hz to 100MHz, the preamplifier improves the sensitivity of oscilloscopes, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers while reducing the effective noise floor and spurious response. The preamplifier can also serve as a low frequency DC blocker for a spectrum analyzer or you can use it to connect a high input impedance oscilloscope probe to 50 Ohm equipment.

The 3440A measures the true rms of low level RF and microwave signals to over 1GHz. High rms accuracy, traceable to NIST, is assured regardless of waveshape. Common calibration errors are eliminated through temperature compensation of the probe detector diodes; double shielding protects the interchangeable probes from rough handling and pickup. Relative gain or loss measurements are simplified by a 0 dB reference adjustment. DC output proportional to the ac input is provided for analog recorders and to allow operation as an ac-dc converter.

The Creonic L-band RF receiver FMC card allows to receive RF signals between 925 and 2,250 MHz. It is ideally suited for satellite communication with standard satellite dishes since it includes a DiSEqC driver IC for LNB controlling. The Noisecom 60 GHz Noise Figure test set has 4 separate systems designed to perform Y-factor noise figure measurements using a high performance Spectrum Analyzer or a dedicated receiver. Each system contains a highly stable V-band noise source, isolator(s), optional waveguide to coaxial transitions and an optional pre-amplifier for use with a spectrum analyzer. The two standard calibration tables have ENR data points at 1 GHz intervals.* System ENR is measured before the DUT connector and at the final output stage allowing for pre-test calibration of the system.
