The ULSi is available with the three best-selling detectors Avantes offers: the Sony ILX554B with 2048 pixels, the Sony ILX511 with 2048 high pixels for extra sensitivity and the Toshiba TCD1304 high resolution 3648 pixels. The same wide range of slits, gratings and other options available in the mainline spectroscopy lineup are also available for the ULSi.

  • Produce Quality Meter

    F-750 - Felix Instruments

The F-750 Handheld Brix & Dry Matter Meter uses near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to estimate quality metrics such as dry matter, Total Soluble Solids (TSS or brix), titratable acidity, and color. Working like a high-powered flashlight, the F-750 sends particles of light into a commodity, then measures the NIR light interactance with molecular components inside of the commodity to quantify user-selected traits. The F-750 has a wide range of applications, from determining optimal harvest timing by assessing fruit maturity, to providing an objective analysis of produce quality of fruit in packing houses and upon import. The F-750 is a handheld, fully integrated system, allowing users to operate it out in the orchard or inside the QA lab. Its simple, intuitive user interface makes it easy for anyone to use, while its model building software makes it customizable and versatile.

  • FTIR Motor Exhaust Gas Analyzer

    MEXA-ONE-FT - HORIBA, Ltd.

The MEXA-ONE-FT Series simultaneously measures concentrations of multiple components, including NH3, N2O, CH4, CO and CO2, in undiluted exhaust gas using the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) method in combination with a multivariate analysis algorithm. It incorporates HORIBA's proprietary compact interferometer which yields superior performance and high accuracy. The system complies with NH3 testing requirements of Euro VI, the EU regulation for heavy duty emissions testing. The MEXA-ONE-FT can be calibrated according to customer requirements with up to 6 component sets to cover a wide range of applications.FTIR spectroscopy allows the direct measurement of NO2 emissions and the independent quantification of individual hydrocarbon species. This makes the MEXA-ONE-FT system an ideal solution for detailed research and development tasks.Due to the measurement principle, the time-consuming daily span gas calibration is omitted. In addition, usability and flexibility are realized by “HORIBA ONE PLATFORM” which enables to extend the system with other ONE analyzers to a complete solution suitable for both certification and R&D purposes.

  • Linescan SWIR Camera

LINECAM12 - Princeton Infrared Technologies, Inc.

The LineCam12 is an advanced linescan SWIR camera with 14-bit digital data at 37klines/s on USB3 or Camera Link™ outputs. The SWIR camera currently comes in two varieties: 250 μm tall pixels for spectroscopy and 12.5 μm square pixels for machine vision applications. The camera has incredible versatility enabling full wells from 75ke- to 100Me- with 128 steps of variation as well as integration times from 10 µs to 150s. On chip optical pixel binning (where every other detector is disconnected from the ROIC thus signal is captured by neighboring pixels) is available by command to trade spectral resolution for increased signal level. Pixel skipping or binning is also available allowing for 48k lines/s at 512 resolution in the same camera platform, activated by a simple command structure. The TEC stabilized camera has 31 non-uniformity correction (NUC) tables with 15 factory set and 16 user defined tables to enable flexibility for the given environment.

  • SWIR Linear Array

1024L1 - Princeton Infrared Technologies, Inc.

The 1024L1 is a 1024x1 state of the art InGaAs linear array imager on 12.5 µm pitch that was built for both spectroscopy and machine vision in the short wave infrared band. The 1024L1-12.5-T is an advanced digital array with the lowest read noise available <110e- for a 250 μm tall pixel. Our new advanced SWIR On-chip Noise Suppression Circuit will enable some spectroscopic applications to see read noise levels <80e-. A single ROIC chip is used thus minimizing variation from output to output found on linear arrays with multiple ROICs. The chips have built in 14bit A/Ds that are designed for the system thus maximizing dynamic range and minimizing the noise while enabling 34k lines/s at 1024 elements. Multiple full well capacities from 75ke- to 100Me- with 128 steps are available to optimize the array for the signal levels. On chip optical pixel binning (where every other detector is disconnected from the ROIC thus signal is captured by neighboring pixels) is available by command to trade spectral resolution for increased signal level. Pixel skipping or binning is also available allowing for 48k lines/s at 512 resolution on the same imager.

  • Mobile Gas Leak Detection System

    ABB Ability - ABB Ltd.

ABB Ability mobile gas leak detection system uses ABB’s patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technique which has a sensitivity and precision more than 3000 times greater than legacy methods. This enables identification of leaks several hundred feet away from the source. Current traditional leak detection technology is slow, laborious and costly. Operators walk on foot near the pipeline with hand-held sensors making paper-based reports. This is slow and can lead to dangerous leaks being missed or not identified in a timely manner. ABB’s Ability mobile gas leak detection system delivers a low cost per leak solution with low false positives. Reporting includes mapping of the leaks available via a mobile app and measurements as Cloud-based service. The system consists of ABB’s Methane/Ethane Analyzer, a GPS, a sonic anemometer and proprietary leak detection software that presents real-time geospatial maps of multiple gas concentrations in real time. The software’s sophisticated leak detection algorithm combines the system’s measurements of gas concentrations (CH4, C2H6), local coordinates (GPS) and local wind velocity (sonic anemometer) to estimate the location of the leak. Readings are stored in the device and can be transmitted in real-time to the cloud for centralized monitoring.
