The 40-614D-002 (PXI) and 42-614D-002 (PXIe) 16-bank, 4-channel, 2-pole multiplexers are part of the High Density 2Amultiplexer module range available in 22 configurations (see 'Also in this Range' link above). All configurations use high quality electro-mechanical signal relays allowing each channel to switch current up to 2A and voltage up to 300VDC/250VAC.

The module is based on the latest micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) switching technology and has low insertion loss and VSWR. In addition, MEMS devices have a long operational life of >3 billion operations and benefit from an operating time of <20 μs allowing greater test system throughput. The multiplexers have excellent and repeatable RF characteristics beyond 4 GHz with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss.

The GX6864 consists of (4), 2 x 16, 75 RF switch configurations that can be used as multiplexers or matrices. The switch card is an extended 6U PXI module with direct connection to the receiver interface. The inputs to the switch multiplexers are accessed via dedicated external connectors located on the switch module. Additional connections are provided to the GENASYS' internal 16 wire bus for low frequency and self test applications.
