The CO transmitter monitors carbon monoxide (CO) levels and is designed for the continuous monitoring of vehicle exhaust in non-hazardous areas. The CO uses a wide spectrum, long life electrochemical sensor to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the environment. It is offered with an operating range of 0 to 125 ppm. Both the Room and Duct CO transmitters are offered in a standard NEMA 1 rated ABS Polycarbonate plastic enclosure. An optional NEMA 4X watertight and dust proof enclosure is only available with the CO room transmitter.

The BA8100 is designed to accurately measure the internal impedance of a single cell or battery stack with voltages as high as 80 V. In addition to impedance, auxiliary measurements include voltage, current, phase, capacitance, inductance, quality factor and more. With the provided software, the BA8100 can perform Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) across a frequency range of 50 mHz to 10 kHz. The impedance spectrum can be evaluated through the Nyquist and Bode plot tools to determine effective series resistance (ESR) and track battery health. Included with the BA8100 is a self-test fixture to verify the instrument’s performance or compensate for resistance introduced by the test leads.

The VersaSTAT 3F applies an AC voltage to the sample emerged in electrolyte. This "global" voltage generates AC current to flow at the electrode / electrolyte interface. A dual-element probe is positioned in solution close to the surface of the sample. The electrometer measures a differential voltage measure between the two measurement elements as a measure of local voltage-drop in solution. This voltage-drop exists in solution because of current flow from local reactions at the sample, the resistance of the electrolyte and the spatial separation of the dual measurement elements.

CMAS probes are made from user-specified sensing materials, including carbon steels, stainless steels, and nickel-, aluminum-, and copper-based alloys. They can also be made from customer supplied materials that have the same microstructure/heat treatment as the system component materials to be monitored. The size of the sensing electrode varies from 0.1 to 3 mm (0.004" to 0.12") in diameter, depending on the application. The quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) is a variant of acoustic wave microsensors that are capable of ultrasensitive mass measurements. Under favorable conditions, a typical QCM can measure a mass change of 0.1-1 ng/cm2. QCM oscillates in a mechanically resonant shear mode under the influence of a high frequency AC electric field which is applied across the thickness of the crystal. Figure 1b below shows an edge view of a QCM crystal undergoing oscillatory shear distortion. The central portions of the top and bottom of the crystal are coated with a typically disk-shaped thin metal film (e.g., gold).
