The Keysight Technologies, Inc. E8782A pin matrix with instrumentation and E8783A pin matrix card are new additions that double the number of supported channels offered by the previous E8792A and E8793A matrix cards. With this increase in supported channels, customers can now support tests on units with a higher number of pin counts using the E6198A switch/load unit. Effectively, the E8782A pin matrix with instrumentation is conigured with 24 instrument channels and 40 measurement channels and retains the features included with the older E8792A card.

The SemiGen SGP7000 series of PIN Diodes are processed with a high-resistivity epi that have intrinsic layers that range in thickness from 4 micron to 200 micron depending on performance specifications. These devices are typically manufactured with either a robust thermal-oxide passivation or ceramic glass for durable high-power applications. These diodes are made with a grown junction P++ layer that yields abrupt junction structures that provide low punch through voltages and minimize autodoping. This PXI fault insertion switch uses solid state switching elements and is capable of switching current up to 10A. It is designed to be able to insert three different fault conditions between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit. Short-Circuit between UUT connections. Short-Circuit to external signals. Through relays on each channel enable signals to the UUT to be set open-circuit. Fault Insertion Buses allow any channel to be shorted to any other channel and also enable any channel to be connected to an external signal such as Power, Ignition or Ground to simulate fault conditions.
