MEMS Optical Sensor Test
For optical sensor test Cohu offers a variety of solutions being driven by requirements for tri-temp, parallelism and stimulus spacing. Customized optical stimulus units are integrated into Cohu’s test handling systems. For light detector test, we implement different types of light sources, such as infrared, ambient- and colored light. We offer different solutions for 3D image sensors combining emitter and receiver tests of LiDAR, Time of Flight and Structured Light devices.

MEMS-Scanner Evaluation-Kit
The "QSDrive Scan Kit" evaluation kit enables small and medium-sized companies in particular to operate ResoLin components from the Fraunhofer IPMS in accordance with the specifications without the time-consuming in-house development of control electronics. The evaluation kit consists of a ResoLin component – a cardanic MEMS scanner with a linear axis and an optional, orthogonally oriented resonant axis – and control electronics that enable the components to be operated with an optimized trajectory supplied. The component is held by a scan head, which is also included in the scope of delivery and which, thanks to its special construction, can easily be integrated into common optical test setups. Depending on the design of the MEMS component, controlled operation of the component and synchronized operation of the resonant axis are also possible. The function is controlled by software that communicates with the electronics via USB.

Programmable MEMS Tilt Switch

The tilt sensor module provides a digital level output if pre-programmed angle thresholds are exceeded. The two standard digital outputs can be configured at the factory as two different angle thresholds. In addition 4 additional input/output lines can be factory configured for a variety of functions on a semi-custom basis, greatly simplifying designs that require accurate, reliable angle detection.

MEMS Tunable Filter
Optoplex’s MEMS Tunable Optical Filter is based on a patented micro-optic design with MEMS tuning technology. It is an integrated module consisting of a MEMS chip, micro-optics and control electronics and interface. When receiving a stream of optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths from the Input-Port (IN), the 2-port tunable optical filter directs a selected channel to the Output-Port (OUT). Wavelength (frequency) tuning is achieved by changing driving voltage applied to the MEMS chip, via the control electronics and the built-in firmware.
