Helmholtz Coils
HHROT-1 - SENIS
The SENIS Model HHROT-1 Helmholtz Coils is designed to produce a large, uniform magnetic field for various applications, including materials measurement and sensor calibration. This single-axis coil pair, configured in Helmholtz geometry, ensures high field uniformity, critical for experiments requiring stable magnetic environments. With an inner diameter of 176 mm and a remarkable operating range of 1mT to 20mT rms, the HHROT-1 is capable of precise measurements and testing of magnetic sensors in diverse orientations. It weighs 32 kg, allowing easy integration into experimental setups such as laboratories and testing facilities.
Additionally, the HHROT-1 features a unique mechanism of three orthogonal gimbals that enables the rotation of a magnetic sensor within the uniform magnetic field. This design allows the sensor to rotate in all three angles—tilt, roll, and pitch—independently, thereby enhancing the versatility of measurement techniques. The coils are air-cooled and can be mounted in various orientations. With non-linearity errors lower than $4\cdot10^{-5}$, it promises unparalleled accuracy for demanding applications.
