At MACOM we offer a line of frequency multipliers that can be used in a variety of communications applications. Our multipliers cover frequencies to 50 GHz and combine an active Doubler with an output buffer amplifier to deliver constant power over a range of input powers, resulting in an excellent rejection of the fundamental and harmonic products. MACOM’s multipliers are available as bare die or in surface mount lead-free QFN packages.

Up Converters

Operating up to a frequency of 86 GHz, our upconverters feature an integrated image reject (balanced) mixer, LO buffer, and RF buffer. Some products also include LO multiplication and variable gain, all within a single chip. Available in die, or SMT lead-free QFN and LGA packages, our upconverters boast excellent performance with adjustable bias, high linearity and image rejection with low LO leakage

Hybrid Mixers

MACOM’s hybrid mixers are widely used in aerospace and defense, wireless, test and measurements applications, and broadband communications applications. We offer a variety of connectorized, flat pack, drop-in, and surface mount packages with a broad range of operating frequency ranges and performance specifications. Our mixer products are available in subsets of the frequency range such as RF and LO: 50 kHz to 24 GHz and IF: DC to 8 GHz. These mixers leverage a variety of technologies such as GaAs pHEMT and Silicon HMIC and are available in double and triple balanced designs. These mixers are hermetically sealed and can also be screened all the way to space level.

Downconverter

MADC-011021 - Macom Technology Solutions Holdings Inc.

The MADC-011021 is a surface mount E-band receiver. The module operates from 71 - 86 GHz and is designed to be used in direct conversion or heterodyne applications. The RF input is a WR12 interface. The module provides 12 dB of conversion gain and a noise figure of 5 dB. The linear mixer topology allows for strong IIP3 performance (2 dBm) to be maintained up to the radio input levels recommended in the standards. The baseband is a quadrature balanced four line interface (I, I*, Q, Q*).
