The Infinity Series of blackbody radiation sources and extended area sources combine leading edge technology with features that support the expanding test requirements of the latest high performance sensors. SBIR designs the most stable, uniform, accurate and highly emissive blackbodies available. SBIR now offers VANTABLACK®S-IR as an optional coating, providing the E-O test community an unprecedented flat plate source emisisivty. SBIR continues to offer blackbody systems that provide the test community with unequaled performance, reliability and ease of integration into test systems. Our blackbody family includes six different varieties to choose from. The Infinity line offers four types of precision blackbody systems and our extended area sources offer two additional types of precision blackbodies to support all levels of IR testing.

IRWindows™5
IRWindows™5 from Santa Barbara Infrared is an advanced software tool that automates the setup, execution, data collection and results analysis for industry standard performance testing of infrared, visible and laser systems. IRWindows™5 is the most advanced commercially available IR/EO sensor test software package in the industry today. It operates under Windows™ OS and is delivered installed on a high-end PC computer platform with frame grabber(s) selected to support UUT video formats. It is also available as a software only package. IRWindows™5 combined with SBIR target projectors provides test engineers and technicians a turnkey, automated hardware/software solution for full-spectrum sensor testing.

Dynamic IR Scene Projectors
Mirage™
In 1999, SBIR introduced MIRAGE™, the world’s first integrated Dynamic IR Scene Projection System, designed to support hardware-in-the-loop testing of missile seekers, FLIRs, counter measure simulation and tracking systems. MIRAGE™ is a complete turnkey infrared scene projector that utilizes unique resistive emitter array technology to produce high definition dynamic IR scenes. The original MIRAGE™-1 used a 512 x 511 pixel resistive array emitter capable of frame rates up to 200 Hz. Target Wheels
Santa Barbara Infrared manufactures a wide variety of standard and custom target wheels, to conveniently and accurately position multiple targets in front of a blackbody source. The SBIR 300 Series Target Wheels are specifically designed to be used with SBIR’s standard differential blackbody sources and integrating sphere light sources. These motorized target wheels are available in several standard models to accommodate different sizes and numbers of targets.

Standard And Custom Targets
Santa Barbara Infrared manufactures a wide range of targets for visible, and infrared/FLIR electro-optical testing. These targets complement our complete line of Visible and IR test products. Our targets are designed to function with one of SBIR’s target wheels. Utilizing a variety of manufacturing techniques, including conventional machining, photochemical etching, electro-deposition, electrical discharge machining (EDM) and laser cutting. SBIR targets are manufactured to exacting mechanical tolerances. SBIR manufactures all of the targets specified by MIL-STD-1859 and the Tri-Service Guide for thermal imager testing.

High Resolution Differential Thermometer
104I
The SBIR Model 104i High Resolution Differential Thermometer provides high accuracy temperature measurement without sacrificing ease of use.Two ultra-stable iProbe temperature sensors are included allowing the instrument to simultaneously display the absolute temperature of two points and also the temperature difference between these two points. Additionally, the 104i thermometer offers four temperature ranges from -40°C to 175°C absolute.

High Volume Tester
SBIR is pleased to announce the recent completion of a fully automated, turnkey system for high rate IR camera testing with a throughput of one camera every 30 seconds. STC Series
The STC Series Off-axis Newtonian Collimators from Santa Barbara Infrared provide superior performance in a compact, light weight, readily integrated package. These collimators accurately project targets at infinite focus for critical visible, IR, SWIR, MWIR and LWIR system testing. STC Series Collimators integrate with SBIR’s Infinity Blackbodies and 300 Series target wheels to create the 14000 Series Target Projectors. These target projectors are available in many standard sizes to satisfy the test requirements of most sensor systems. Additionally, their modular design allows for easy customization of components.
