Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.

The MicroImage PXQ524 is a true high performance quad display controller designed for demanding applications. In addition to the quad display, the unit will also display two full images side-by-side unlike split screen, which only shows a portion of each image. The two images may be easily exchanged with a front panel switch. The side by side display works well with wide screen monitors where the additional black at the top and bottom isn’t as visible, maximizing display use. The MicroImage Video Systems Quad Display controller has been designed for industrial and professional applications.
